We never refused to honor any prices or payments. We simply advised the customer that after 6 contacts, we had neither the resources or personnel to continue this dialogue. We informed him that if he would come in to the dealership we would explain every last detail and honor any written quotes we had given him.

Based on figures provided by a salesman, Mr. Whiteman's monthly payment quote appeared more than $25 too high. I simply requested an explanation for the discrepancy. If I had made an error, or if there were a reasonable explanation on his part, Mr. Whiteman could have easily cleared this up in a single e-mail. My presence at the dealership has never been necessary to accomplish this. And an e-mail could hardly require more resources or personnel than explaining it to me in person. Even now, facing negative online reviews and potential loss of customers, it is telling that Mr. Whiteman still will not explain this discrepancy. I can draw my own conclusions, and readers of my review will do the same.

A review of the comments regarding this dealership will show overwhelmingly that the majority are favorable. We have looked through all of our correspondence with this customer. At no time did our payment change the payment quoted by the GM was exactly the same as the payment quoted by our internet department. Every quote stated the payment was either pre-tax or plus tax. My explanation is simple there is no discrepancy. We went above an beyond to answer questions and provide detail. There comes a time in every negotiation that buyer and seller must meet face to face to finalize the details, that time had come. Again we have agreed to honor our quotes and invited this customer in to go over the final details. Since no transaction has taken place We really don't know what more we can do to appease this customer.

When run through the standard leasing formula (per leaseguide.com or edmunds.com) the salesman’s figures yield a payment of $286.15 before taxes. The general manager’s quote was $312 before taxes. Those are facts, and potential customers can interpret them as they wish.

While we did not give everything to this customer on delivery. We did mail him extra keys and the Certification Checklist. We performed everything that was required and although we did not meet his expectations have nothing to be ashamed of in this transaction.

They mailed me 1 valet key still owe me a master key, although the checklisted has them all checked off. If the checklist is legit how come I did not have all of my keys?. The transmission fluid and brake oil are both dirty and should have been changed according to the checklist, not to mention the 60K service was never done(transmission service is part of 60K service) also on the checklist. Passenger seat damaged tires do not match both on the checklist. So please tell me how honest of a dealer are you? Seems as though American Honda is waiting for you to answer these questions also.

A quick review of those that have rated us in this venue will clearly show that the great majority of our customers have rated us favorably. We have been actively trying to discuss these matters with this customer. We are planning on making one final plea that this customer make an appointment with our service department, bring the vehicle in so that we can address any valid concerns. we ceertainly can't do more than this.

It is so funny how different your point of view on the situation is on the forum. How have tried to discuss the matter? First of all YOU NEVER CALL ME BACK. Every contact has been me reaching out to you. I live 180 miles away and you are fully aware of this. Please tell me exactly 1 time that you have called me to resolve this? NOT 1 SINGLE TIME. Maybe you need to look at all of your reviews there are others that have had issues. Am I suppose to drive 360 miles round trip (at my expense) for you to fix issues that were SUPPOSE to have been done when you so called certified the car, when you have yet to show any concern in clearing the matter up?

Just received my first phone call from Route23 Honda on trying to resolve the issues. I will update as we progress.

Just got back from the dealer, 360 mile round trip. Not sure if it was my contacting Honda America, NJ DMV or Dealerrator but they seemed to have changed their mind in trying to make me a happy customer. They gave me matching tires, 3 keys and changed the tranny fluid (which should have been done before I purchased the car). I am glad that the situation was taken care of although it cost me my entire saturday. Now the only thing left is to try and get it registered. For some reason they were not able to get my van registered in DE. I called constantly up until 3 days prior to my temp expiring. The business manager Sunny (what a JOKE) never returned any of my calls concerning my vehicle not getting registered. He tried to tell me that it was out of his hands and that I was attempting to put him in the middle. Is this guy CRAZY or what? Does he not know what his job is? After repeated calls to Rob Winters, the best they could come up with is sending me the paper work and refund the DMV money and let me do it. The funny thing is I requested that they let me do that in the begining, but Sunny said no sorry we are not allowed. Once I get it registed it will be a relief. Deep down inside I really want to thank Rob Winters for his help, but part of me says this all should have been done already. Either way thank you Rob.
