AVOID!! After searching online and speaking directly with AVOID!! After searching online and speaking directly with a sales rep for an appointment, we drove over to find that there was no record of our appointment. Then we found that one car we discussed had been sold the day before and another one was actually at another dealer. We were turned over to a few different salespeople who "knew" the inventory but could only scroll through an outdated (intentionally?) computer list. As my wife put it, "Not only were they dishonest and incompetent, they were slow and rude also." If you are looking to buy a car, save your time and energy. Stay away from Route 22 Planet Honda in Hillside. More

I read a lot online that its tough to deal with dealership when you start hunting for a new car. I went prepared with online research and True Car estimate on buying a new Honda 2013 Accord Sedan dealership when you start hunting for a new car. I went prepared with online research and True Car estimate on buying a new Honda 2013 Accord Sedan and told upfront that I only want to first test drive Honda Accord. At first when we said we would like to test drive and thats the purpose of the visit. We were taken out to go and try Honda Accord LX then I insisted on getting the EX model as thats the one we were interested in. We did the test drive and right from the moment we were in the car, this salesman we were working with, changed in his tone. Wasn't patient or infact courteous to answer basic questions. As we sit down and I mention that what's the price you can give on this car. He writes down the price thats usually on the sticker display car. Comes down to sit with me. I was with my wife. He knows that this is the first time we have tried the Accord and we obviously wouldn't buy it right away - well how come he doesn't expect a negotiation. The minute I mentioned,I saw a lesser estimate on True Car - he said alright let me go print it. He comes with without printing anything and I mention the number to him. Within 30 seconds, his tone changes when I said I like the car and heard good things about your dealership and as of now I'm exploring. I'm willing to consider if you get me a good deal. He walks out with an attitude, comes back to me with his card and says its a busy day. Call me if you want to buy today. My take on this is - if you don't make a customer comfortable when he/she is spending about 20 grand or more, then what do you call as customer service ? How would the customer work with you if you don't have a welcoming tone. If you are busy, then stop selling cars to many peoples but only to those who you can accommodate in your schedule. I just walked out with my wife. Didn't bother to speak more. I know salesman play many tricks and I wasn't surprised by this one too. More
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... WORST DEALERSHIP AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! These people are NOT at all about customer service. They would just lie to you to get you into their dealership. I saw a CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! These people are NOT at all about customer service. They would just lie to you to get you into their dealership. I saw a specific used car online, called them and they confirmed car is available. They had me come down right away to see it. I took off from work and went to straight to the dealership. So far so good but when I reached there, it was totally horrible experience. When I reached there, I asked for Jhon (Manager). Jose from his team came to see us. When I asked about that specific vehicle, he went in to get the keys for it. After 15-20 mins, he came back and said the car was in service and we would have to go to service (which is a mile away) to see and test drive the car. What stupidity is that? Anyways, we said fine and went to service. After getting there, he went inside and had us wait for another 20-30 mins doing nothing but standing outside service dept. After 30 mins, when I checked, he said "WE CAN'T FIND THE CAR"... I was like what the heck? They kept looking and still couldn't tell me where the car was (if it was in dealership or service or detailing)... what kind of ridicules thing is that? Then we went back to dealership and asked to speak with Jhon again (Manager) and to surprise, he was rude as well. He was not willing to accept his and his staff's mistake and wrong behavior. All I asked was that if dealership confirms an appointment, they should at least make sure they have the car ready and pulled up front to see it. On top, their rude behavior is just horrible. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE. PLEASE STAY AWAY... WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP. More
It was the worst experience after the vechicle was in our possession when they got what they wanted noe of our phone calls were ever returned my sales rep and supervisior only contacted us when they needed s possession when they got what they wanted noe of our phone calls were ever returned my sales rep and supervisior only contacted us when they needed something. The only reason I received what I needed was because I went to the dealer and voiced my opinion. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK NOR RECOMMEND THIS DEALER TO ANYONE More
Worst car buying experience EVER! I bought a car CASH and 3 days later the transmission blew!!!! They told me that they couldn't help me AT ALL!?!? REALLY?? I gave them CASH for the car!!! They wouldn't work 3 days later the transmission blew!!!! They told me that they couldn't help me AT ALL!?!? REALLY?? I gave them CASH for the car!!! They wouldn't work with me what so ever in giving me another car. They sold me a "lemon" plain and simple. I strongly advise not to buy a car from this dealership because if your transmission blows, good luck, you're on your own. Their customer service is terrible and all you get is the run around. All they care about is themselves and they truly do not have a heart what so ever. To this day I have been stranded without a car because I spent all my hard earned money to buy a car from them, to only find out the transmission went in just 3 DAYS!!! To make matters worse, they called me 6 months later and said they have my license plate in and to come and pick it up! Really? And.., I had a salesman call me about 6 months later asking me if I was in the market to buy a car again from them! This was an absolute slap in the face. The management and customer service is very un-educated and they showed absolutely no remorse for selling me a LEMON. My advise if your thinking about buying a car from these people, think again. I just don't want to see anyone get taken advantage of like I did. I gave them all my money for that car, and now Im left with NOTHING....1 YEAR LATER... More
This review is reflected as a bad one for the Honda Service Department at Honda Route 22. I currently own a Honda CRV 2003 that was purchased at the corresponding dealership. For the past three years, Service Department at Honda Route 22. I currently own a Honda CRV 2003 that was purchased at the corresponding dealership. For the past three years, I have visited the Service Department for repairs on my vehicle. However, the problem never seems to get fixed. There have been times when I pay for services on my CRV and before I return to my home I would receive an email requiring that more services be done on my car. I do not understand why the problems were not brought up while my car was being serviced. I feel like it is a ploy to get more money out of me. More
Scam Alert! No matter how many times we asked clear questions on credit, loan percentage rate, reasons for dealer's arbitrary "doc fee" - we were interrupted, ignored, given the "I'll check" or "You we questions on credit, loan percentage rate, reasons for dealer's arbitrary "doc fee" - we were interrupted, ignored, given the "I'll check" or "You weren't given that? Be right back." We were left to ourselves so often and for so long, they forgot we were in the dealership waiting on them for the requested information. We even got a call asking for feedback on our experience - WHILE we were still waiting for the sales rep at the dealership - they didn't know or care we were still waiting on them. After waiting four hours and after asking multiple times and hunting sales people for answers...they simply would not produce the requested paperwork of how they came to their figures. We asked if they couldn’t do the financing to please just say so right away. No such luck. Their belief was if we put down a deposit, we would then be allowed to view the paperwork. ?!?!? If you call the general sales manager with a complaint or need, such as asking why you were not given the courtesy of the return phone call as promised, he will just hang up on you. No kidding! It seems their nemesis is the informed customer. Buyer beware, this is THE dealership car experts warn against. They do nothing to improve the used car dealer’s reputation for “If their lips are moving, their lying”. They might be unethical but they are absolutely unprofessional. More
Buyer Beware!!! My husband and I made an appointment ahead of time to see a specific car and were left waiting outside (after having told the admin that we were there to see a specific salesman). Oddly, ahead of time to see a specific car and were left waiting outside (after having told the admin that we were there to see a specific salesman). Oddly, the place was open for business, and the car was right outside, but all the doors were locked. Once one of the salesmen realized that we wanted to test drive the car, suddenly, they "couldn't find the key" to the car, and yet, one would think, someone would say, come on in, let's talk, etc.. No!!! I had to go in there and ask to see our salesman and, sure enough, there he was, sitting on his duff. He acted as if no one had told him we were there. Ok, even if we were to believe that, after that point, he still had a chance to say, "come on, let's talk", "sorry about the key"...whatever. But, instead, he gives us a Jr salesman to "deal" with, the poor guy...he's simply a jr salesman trying to cut his teeth, playing a "shuffle game". We went back and forth twice and then we had had enough. We have been presented with a price that the dealership was willing to sell the car for, but we wanted it for a few hundred less. Eventually, we were told that the price they had originally offered us was not the selling price, we would actually be required to pay more for the car (say, what?!?). Then they tried to say that one of the salesmen might have the key because they have a possible "sale" of the car and are holding it for another customer!?! What??? That is sleazy salesmanship at its best. We knew at that point that they were playing some kind of game, and that we certainly weren't in on it! The whole process was mind-boggling. We walked out. If you think you'll get treated fairly at this place please, think again!!! This place doesn't even deserve 1/2 a star!!! More
