We bought a CRV-SE for my wife and actually enjoyed the experience. In fact, my wife (who has been involved with the purchase of many cars) told me that she felt the time we spent working with Roberto Gio experience. In fact, my wife (who has been involved with the purchase of many cars) told me that she felt the time we spent working with Roberto Giovannucci (salesman) was the most friendly and open discussion that she had ever had at an auto dealership. We did a lot of due diligence in selecting our car and our dealership - including visits to eight dealerships in two states and repeat visits to four dealers. Of those, I made more than a dozen visits and my wife made two - but she was involved in internet research and polling of many friends and relatives to select down to the several dealers & two car models we pursued. One thing that separated the Honda Gallery from others was the way that every person in the building joined in making you feel comfortable and cared about. This was true on four visits - knowing that I was working with Rob, his colleagues went out of their way to answer questions and assist when Rob was tied up. On my first visit, Rob for a few minutes seemed a little overrehearsed, but that quickly melted away as his warm personality brought the conversation into the kind of open idea exchange that you might have with a good friend at a backyard BBQ. He knew the cars well, and made pro & con suggestions that made good sense. At some dealers, I felt that I was being marched through a process, but Rob (and the team around him) did not give that vibe. It was more of a family discussion. We did not feel pushed or rushed. The negotiating was respectful and led to a substantial discount, requiring two rounds of manager approval, but that part of the process was done over short phone calls rather than extended onsite pressure. We did not have to meet the manager or go through typical dealer efforts to change our expectations. My wife is very happy with her new CRV! More
