This is a chronic transmission problem w/ the Caravan line. Service engine light went on and occassionally the car was stuck at 2nd gear. Took the car to Dick Greenfield. About 1/2 hour, they want t line. Service engine light went on and occassionally the car was stuck at 2nd gear. Took the car to Dick Greenfield. About 1/2 hour, they want to drop the pan which is $240. (just labor) so that they could investigate what the problem was. 2-3 hours later, got a phone call from the service dept. This time they need to take the transmission down - another $600. They found a lot of metal fillings; but still no clue what the cause of the problem yet. It is very likely to either replace or rebuild the transmission. Another 1500 - 3000 dollars. I figured the car is old and don't really want to continue pouring money into this pit. Wish Chrysler can do something about this. It is great for the dealer so that they could use this to milk us. Finally, told the service rep to put the pan - another 160. At the end, I spent $400+ to find out nothing. I would think they are the expert because they manufactured the caravan. I would expect this type of service from LeeMyles or AAMCO; not from a company that claims to be the authorized dealer or service center. Another thing, they said they rarely seen this type of problem with caravan. This is so dishonest; just check up the internet postings. From the consumer's response, the recommended thing to do is to bring the car to the dealer. I think I have to correct that response. Just a horrible experience. More
I have been coming to Dick Greenfield Dodge for a third year now, and I've had my ups and downs with this dealer, but in general I have to recommend them as a very good Dodge dealership. They have a 24-hr year now, and I've had my ups and downs with this dealer, but in general I have to recommend them as a very good Dodge dealership. They have a 24-hr service, which is a good thing, and they offer nicely discounted rentals if your car is in service - a rare feature for an average American marque.

I've had major repairs done there, and I've been a very frequent customer because I take care of my car meticulously - I have an excellent older Dodge sports car. After a little while at the dealership, I began sticking with Matt and Tim as my choice of mechanics, and that's become a very rewarding experience because they seem to be rather knowledgeable with my car (Tim owns a car just like mine himself). There are some other good mechanics, but I've developed a long-standing relationship with Matt and Tim. Also, Jim or Stacey at the service counter always offer courteous, competent help and are friendly.

In sales, I like Joe (he's nice and pretty laid back)... Rentals have excellent, friendly staff, which seems to be a pattern. The dealership seems to have a community of mostly friendly employees and makes it a pleasant enough place to visit when I have to.

I rate it all 5's because they've kept my car safe and running reliably over time. And when my car wasn't running, they made sure I always had good, reliable transportation (rentals). Thanks to all! More
