Just a couple days until Christmas and my oil change light came on I was in the area and without making a appointment I stopped in to see if they could fit it in. First of all, I love my new Ford Maverick and wouldn't trade it for the World. Ford is great and I am very happy with Ford. This particular dealer is sketchy and dishonest though. I hesitated on leavin trade it for the World. Ford is great and I am very happy with Ford. This particular dealer is sketchy and dishonest though. I hesitated on leaving a review of my experience, but this was my final straw. I just got a notice in the mail yesterday from my credit union - who financed the truck - that more than 90 days later, this dealer had never sent my title to them, so my payment will be going way up until I can get them a proper title showing them as the lien holder. This is a huge hassle for me. I paid them service fees for this. This should never be an issue and is inexcusable when you buy a new truck. Beware of the non-negotiable mandatory "$3995 Rountree Moore Ford Advantage" package of bogus rip-off addons such as nitrogen in the tires, vin sketching and other assorted dishonest bogus unnecessary nonsense. They don't tell you about this until it's too late. If you ask about it, they point to a sign with small print by the front door. The absolutely refuse to sell you the car you ordered from them without this package which should be optional. During the buying process and 10 month wait for my truck to arrive, communication from the dealer was non-existent. My salesman had passed away and I'm sorry about that, but assign me to someone else who will help me instead of keeping me hanging. I had to call or go in every time to check on my order status. An occasional email would have been sufficient. The service dept is not off to a good start either. I wanted to make an appointment for recall service. They told me to just drop it off on a Tuesday or Wednesday and they will get to it when they can. Making an appointment for this service was not possible. Well, #1) I work during the week and #2) I live 90 minutes away. No offer of a ride, loaner, rental or anything to help accommodate me was made. I'm 55 years old and have bought plenty of new cars in my life. This was absolutely by far the worst car-buying experience of my lifetime. I wouldn't recommend Rountree-Moore Ford to my worst enemy. More
