I scheduled an appointment for an oil change on 10/12/2024 at 9:30am. When I dropped it off, i was told it would be around 1 hour to complete. I decided to run some errands while my truck was being 10/12/2024 at 9:30am. When I dropped it off, i was told it would be around 1 hour to complete. I decided to run some errands while my truck was being serviced at the expense of my friend who helped me drop off the vehicle. Despite not receiving a call on or around the 1 hour mark, I decided to go by the dealership to pick up my ride while I was in town to avoid unnecessary travel as I do not live within city limits. Upon arriving, the staff told me they had not started yet and the estimated time of completion was now 2:30pm. This is a 4 hour difference from what I was initially told. When I asked the time had changed, they stated that there were some people that dropped off vehicles for service which did not make sense to me why the time changed. I asked why make an appointment at all if it does not impact the time service will be conducted/completed on a vehicle and they told me that it was just for the advisor's schedule to ensure they spoke with me. Note, no adviser actually spoke with me regarding my vehicle's service in a way to warrant an appointment. This cause major disruptions in not only my plans for the day but also my friends day. I believe there was a miscommunication somewhere however, instead of owning the mistake, they tried to convince me this is normal operation for scheduled service. Neither of the managers, Tyler or Haley were there to address the issue. The staff that was there were very casual about the issue and did not seem concerned. Upon checkout, they asked if I would like to use my "Ford Pass" points to pay for the service. I did not know where I got the points or how the points are accrued. I was offered little explanation of this feature only that I had the points for having the app and nothing else. More
