Hi this is Cole Anderson, the service director here at Roseville Toyota. I fully understand your frustration that the CV boot is not covered under Toyota warranty. But please understand that any time a vehicle have been altered from it stock equipment Toyota will not cover anything that it affects, and I see these CV boot fling grease all the time when the trucks are lifted, because, as you stated we sell these trucks already lifted and when we do Toyota will not cover anything that is affected by the lift. however when we do sell these trucks we have an agreement with the lift company that they will cover anything that is affected by the lift and they also will cover anything that is replaced with in the lift kit just as if it was stock. Now this is the agreement that we have with the company. I do not know what the warranty is when lifts are installed after the time of sale and paid for by the customer as we are never involved in that conversation. When the angle of the CV shaft has been altered to this degree it causes the boot to rub together causing the boot the wear. If the truck was stock we would not have this concern. That is why Toyota will not cover the repair, please understand If the repair would be covered and Toyota would authorized the replacement that means Toyota would pay for the repair and we would all be happy. Once again I do understand your frustration because I do deal with this concern quite often because of lifted trucks. If you would like to reach out to me, I will contact the lift company and be an advocate for you to get this repaired.
