A previous Acura owner, and completely happy with the TL and my experience with NM dealer, I decided to go back to the Acura platform. I've spent a lot of money in the past on high end luxury vehicles but had no interest this time around. Research into the new Acura sedans led me to the TLX and ILX for their price point. I researched inventory online at Chevy Chase, Carmax, Rosenthal, and Pohanka. I even looked at and test drove the Honda Accord EX coupe at Herson's Honda, but was spoiled by the Acura luxury. I worked with Chevy Chase Acura by phone. Eddie was my sales rep. He kept pressuring me to come in to the dealership though I wasn't quite ready despite explaining that to him on more than one occasion. On a whim, after test driving the Honda at Herson's, I stopped in at Rosenthal. I was window shopping the TLX and ILX but just didn't want to spend $40K on a car - I've been there done that. The TSX was mentioned to me but I hadn't even considered the car. I wasn't a fan of the "beak" look on some of the older the TL/TSX models. That particular day in March I worked with Chris K. He was nice, helpful and understanding that I was in the market but not ready to purchase. I test drove a 2015 TLX and 2015 ILX with technology packages. I just wasn't sure either were what I truly wanted. Chris did not pressure me at all. He gave me his card and asked me to keep in touch providing total out the door prices on both models. I spent the next three weeks researching the TSX and local inventory. Both Chevy Chase and Rosenthal had vehicles I was interested in. My previous no pressure experience took me back to Rosenthal. This time it was go time. Turns out the TSX was the best option for my needs. It also had a great price point of less than $30K out the door. I wanted a 2014 CPO in a specific color. I really liked the look of the car in graphite luster metallic with ebony interior - go figure! Rosenthal had two options online. I spoke to John Benson on a Saturday morning. We discussed both cars, confirmed their options (one had the technology package the other did not) and the extra add on items I wanted (spoiler, tint, splash guards). The process was easy. I scheduled a test drive of both cars the same day. I settled on the TSX with technology package but wouldn't take delivery for about a week. John was easy going and listened to me. He didn't try to "upsell" me on another car even though he knew I was exceptionally qualified for any Acura at any price point. He helped me get what I wanted added to the car and addressed a few minor issues I wanted fixed prior to taking delivery. He also ensured I was able to secure the car at the price I wanted. John went above and beyond during the entire process. He even picked me up from BWI airport after returning my rental car to take delivery of my new TSX the following week. He was also forthright about an aftermarket labor pricing issue he tried to mitigate on my behalf. I was so impressed with his candor and willingness to contest the charges on my behalf before telling me about the problem. I had done all TSX aftermarket research ahead of time so I was able to quickly dispel the problem by providing John with the proof he needed to resolve the issue quickly. Kristen Bang in the Finance Department was also great. We worked together on a warranty and sealant package for the TSX that left me feeling great about my entire purchase. She and I hit it off. This was largely in part to her candid demeanor and ability to answer my direct questions. Kristen also provided me with written examples and proof for everything she offered to me on the warranty side. Thanks for your patience Kristen. I know I am a hard sell, but I am fair. Shannon, my new Service Rep, kept the momentum of great service going when she helped me get my vehicle situated with "we owe" items, aftermarket splash guards, and Cilajet application. Despite a few minor hiccups on pre-payment and what was owed, there was nothing she didn't graciously fix. All in all, a great process. I am happy I chose to do business with Rosenthal. I am happy to be back with the Acura family! Lexus service department and exorbitant maintenance costs left me with buyers remorse for the past 3+ years on my 2012 GX-470. In the span of 6 weeks, I tested the dedication, integrity, and degree of customer service of this dealership. I am beyond impressed. I was fair and courteous in my approach though genuinely had no idea the people that helped at Rosenthal would be so accommodating, LISTEN to me and treat me so well. This is the beginning of a new business relationship and I am so happy with my choice! I love my TSX! Thank you Rosenthal! More

After meeting James, I ended up with a 2015 Acura TLX copper black. James was very knowledgeable, sincere, kind, and helpful. Not to mention, he's also a very patience person and willing to stick around past midnight to help me through the whole buying process. As I remember, I had walked me through the features of the car a total of 3 times since the car has a handful of technology comes with it. Therefore, I recommend James Tan and Rosenthal for anyone who is looking for a new car. More

On Monday morning, I received a call about a family emergency that could require immediate, out of town travel with the car. The dealership's receptionist and a finance representative worked to arrange delivery of the replacement documentation later on Monday morning. I am extremely pleased by their response to my situation. Mistakes happen but these two went to great lengths to provide excellent customer service. More
Unethical Dealership who performed Price Bait and Switch I found a 2007 Acura MDX Sport online through cars.com. It was listed at $16,988. I went to Acura Rosenthal's website and saw that it was also listed I found a 2007 Acura MDX Sport online through cars.com. It was listed at $16,988. I went to Acura Rosenthal's website and saw that it was also listed as $16,988 (Price of $18,988 minutes internet discount of $2,000). I called up the dealership and Pete Rodriguez answered to take my call. I spoke with him and set up a test drive that night (Wednesday, 12/17/2015). When I got there, there was a good amount of body damage to the car. This included, what appeared to be, a slight collision with a parking pole that damage the driver side rear door and driver side quarter panel, which had been redone with a different colored cover up paint, a broken navigation (which included loss of rear camera) a split bumper, a bulge in the wheel well, etc. Pete and his sales manager, Sam Zakaria, told myself and my girlfriend they would fix the driver's side rear door, driver's side panel, navigation screen, and bumper with the purchase of the car. I told them I wanted to speak to my family about it and left. I came back 3 days later, Saturday 12/20/2014 with my brother to look at the car again. Pete and Sam reiterated the same thing, that they would fix those items once I agreed to purchase the car. My brother and I said we would return the next day to see the car in daylight (since both test drives had been at night) and look to purchase the car. Prior to returning on Sunday, Pete called my cell twice and texted me to tell him when I planned on coming. He said he was "off for the day and had to meet me at the dealership" when he had told me the previous night he was working Sunday 12 to 6. I thought it was odd, but just told him I would be there around 3:30. When I arrived with my brother and girlfriend Sunday 12/21/2014, Pete was sitting at his desk with the car pulled up on the site. They had changed the cars.com (which now said newly listed again since it was revised) and their site to increase the price back to $18,988! I asked him about it and he denied it ever being $16,988. Mind you, all three people sitting in front of him (my brother, my girlfriend, and myself) had seen the initial listing of $16,988, as I had sent it over to them. He basically sat there and told me I was a liar despite seeing it with my own two eyes. I asked to speak to Sam, and when I asked about it, he was very angry and yelled that this was the listing price no matter what. I even asked, both Sam and Pete, that if I showed them the listing at $16,988, would they honor it. Sam, of course said no, again in a very aggressive, unprofessional manager. At that point I told him this was unethical. Already having been very rude, he became even more belligerent and rude to which he told me to "go get the car from an ethical dealership". I asked for his name one more time before I left, to which he would not tell me or provide a card, and I said aloud to confirm and he barked back at me (mind you this is in his own dealership in front of customers and other sales associates) "That's right, go and figure out how to spell it, I wont tell you". So I looked it up to make sure I did spell it correctly. Pete Rodriguez could have told me over the phone he had increased the price to not waste a trip out there. It also shows why he was so concerned about when I was coming (sure he knew the conversation wouldn't go well and wanted to clear our other customers or appointments to not look bad) In the end, this dishonest, unethical, unprofessional dealership wasted 3 hours of my brother's time, my girlfriend's time, and myself that Sunday and at least 5 hours from the previous test drives. This dealership (which I hope isn't connected with Acura HQ cause that would be a shame) is more like a 3rd tier dealership which should never be dealt with. Don't waste your time with them or the Sales Manager Sam Zakaria, they will change prices, be dishonest, treat you rudely, and just plain unprofessional. More

An Almost Perfet Sale We purchased a 2015 Acura TLX online after test driving the car at Rosenthal. The problem we had was that we don't live any where near the dealer, and we negotiated with the sales manager to have the car delivered who readily agreed. After going back and forth with the salesman several times, who wanted me to pick me up (why not just bring me the car if you're going to pick me up?), he finally brought me the car and the paperwork. All was well, and I love the car! If there hadn't been such a go-around regarding the delivery of the car, I would have given Rosenthal five stars. More

He gave me and my family excellent customer service. I appreciate his follow-up with me and am very happy with my purchase! Recently, I called him on a question for my car and he was very helpful. I appreciate that he indicated that I am still his customer though my purchase was complete. His help and customer service were important factors in my deciding to purchase a RDX from Rosenthal Acura. I will be sure to refer any friends and family looking for a new car over to James. More

After test driving a few other options, she narrowed her choices down to a 2015 Lincoln MKX (AWD) and a 2015 RDX (AWD, Tech Pack). Lucky for us, both the dealerships were about a few hundred yards from each other. Wont lie, I was impressed by the luxury offered in Lincoln MKX, but the price was a bit too steep. So the final choice was RDX. The price, size, comfort and luxury was just right. After talking to a couple of other dealers, I reached out to Rosenthal Acura. This was my third experience with Rosenthal Acura for a car purchase. My first experience was back in 2009, for my first TL purchase. The sales person back then nailed it and I was a happy camper. I returned to Rosenthal in 2011, this time with a different sales person, and the experience was horrible. But, the General Manager, John Haddad, made a good impression on me and made it alright. I have been coming Rosenthal Acura for my car's service since 2009 and have been very happy overall. So, when my friend wanted to buy a car, I returned to Rosenthal Acura, for the third time and the experience was just as it was back in 2009, stellar. This time, my sale person was Ken Chang. He made every effort to accommodate our schedule and was very easy to work with in terms of the price. He gave us the best possible price that he possibly could on the vehicle. During our visit, I was eyeballing the new TLX. I might swing by Ken's desk once Acura makes the AWD model available in the market. All in all, I am very happy with my experience and I see no reason why I wouldnt go back to Rosenthal for my next car purchase. Keep up the good customer service. More
