The purchase of my 2024 Palisade Night Edition went well right up to the point that their "purchase" of my 2022 Honda Ridgeline trade in that had a loan balance at Honda Finance was not paid and I had to ev right up to the point that their "purchase" of my 2022 Honda Ridgeline trade in that had a loan balance at Honda Finance was not paid and I had to eventually (after numerous attempts through sales and finance department) call their General Manager to find out why. It took several follow ups with Sales, Finance Manager and General Manager to finally be told they had an "office girl quit" so the payment was never made (pathetic excuse)? My transaction took place on May 8th and Rosen Hyundai of Kenosha did not send payment (supposedly per GM via a text message to me on June 5th) until June 3rd "via overnight check" but seriously and only after I complained. Never will do business here again! Buyers beware. Also when my paperwork was given to me the Finance Manager gave me paperwork from another customer (which violates customer confidentiality). I told my sales person this and never heard anything from the Finance Department to follow up or apologize. WOW, really sloppy business practices. Is there any wonder more and more people want to buy direct without dealerships? But to be honest I never had this negative experience with any Honda dealer. In hindsight it would have better to ask the dealership to buy my vehicle, cut me a check so I could pay off the loan balance before buying the new vehicle. More
Beyond Exceptional! In Jan. 2021 we decided to purchase a new vehicle. Researching several makes and models, we were most impressed with the Hyundai Palasade, Calligraphy. The journey began. After working with a few local dealers, we quickly realized the “exact vehicle” wanted was proving to be difficult to obtain. Everyone wanted $3-$5k over MSRP, insisted we purchase a package full of things we did not want/would not use, for an additional $2k. We settled on working with a dealer in Elgin. They guaranteed nothing more than MSRP. Not only a fallacy, they tried the old ~ bait & switch. The GM was rude, disrespectful and tried to bully us. We provided a deposit for a vehicle supposedly in transit. After weeks of calling (with no return calls) my husband went into the dealer. They tell him…great news, the vehicle just arrived and would be ready in a couple days. The next day we get a call, the detail shop added the package so we would have to pay the $2k. We had to threaten legal action to get our deposit back. In early 2022, our journey ended. Although we wanted the vehicle, we didn’t need it. A couple weeks ago I see a commercial on the 2023 Calligraphy. I google and see Rosen Hyundai in Kenosha, WI. has the vehicle. My husband contacts them on July 31 and Musa Karrar confirms the vehicle is there, is available, is priced at MSRP with one package. This package has more items, than not, that we saw value in. So… we provide a deposit. We have little hope this deal will go thru but - miracles do happen. Musa tells us.. we can come in right then, the next day or when ever was convenient for us to pick up the vehicle. We decide on Saturday. We arrive on Saturday, August 5th. We’re excitedly greeted by Musa Karrar. What an experience! Musa’s personality is larger than life. He has a great sense of humor and is honest (legitimately HONEST). His knowledge on the vehicle, process and paperwork was on point! To get things started, Musa escorts us over to Luis Flores… leaving us in great hands. Luis supported us in the process, gathered our information and explained several vehicle features ~ making sure we were comfortable with it all. He is genuinely a good human with the patience of a saint, customer first attitude and ability to read his audience. He went above our expectations to support closing the deal. With just ONE item of concern, Musa explained his point and listened to ours. Without hesitation he advises he needs to confer with Josh Ihmoud, his GM. At this point we’re ready to walk away because this seems to familiar. We’re waiting for the… “regrettably we can’t” or “if we concede to this, will you be willing to concede to that”? We could not have been more wrong. Musa comes back, compromises agreed to and we own a new vehicle. More amazing… Josh congratulates us, then thanks us. The GM thanks us for purchasing a vehicle at the price we wanted… unheard of! I know this is a very detailed review but it needed to be. Rosen Hyundai of Kenosha gave us our car when we almost gave up. What an amazing dealerships. We didn’t have the pleasure of working with all of the employees and know others contributed in this sales. Thanks to the entire team. We’ll recommend this dealership to friends and family and when asked about the vehicle, I’ll proudly advise where it was purchased. Bryan & Vikki N. More
