This was the WORST experience I've ever had at a car dealership. I've leased two cars through this company. I got several calls from Rosen Honda begging to buy me out of my current lease. I'm talking no dealership. I've leased two cars through this company. I got several calls from Rosen Honda begging to buy me out of my current lease. I'm talking nonstop calls and emails. Finally, I responded and Rosen Honda told me they were desperate for Honda Civics. I asked them several times if the offer was concrete as I did not want to waste my only day off driving 30 minutes away in the snow storm. They assured me this was a solid offer and that I would just have to come down, sign some documents and I would be on my way. My partner and I drove down there and were "assigned" to the most incompetent, disrespectful and dishonest salesperson out there. Can you imagine that? Think Matilda, but worse. He talked in circles and didn't answer any questions directly. He didn't even sound confident in his own lies. At one point, he told me he couldn't find my name associated with my leased car's vin number....despite the fact that I've been leasing this car for almost 3 years now, I have an online portal with my name all over it, consistent monthly payments, etc....in hindsight, it was just a ploy used to waste our time. Then he said he had to run both my credit and my partner's credit in order to tell us if Rosen Honda would be able to buy the car back. That part didn't make sense, but I wanted out of my lease, so I went along with it. After this, he told us he could only trade in my car. He didn't explain why, but I said I would consider trading my car depending on the offer. We never discussed which specific car, if any, I was interested in, he just told us he had to "call a lender" to see if we were approved, which made no sense because as I mentioned above, there was no car to approve us for. We sat there alone for over 3 hours. The salesperson occasionally jogged over to us (so he could look busy) and said they were still waiting on a "response." He wouldn't tell us who they were waiting on a response from or what car the response was even in regards to, but I was tired and wanted to do whatever I could to move this process along. After 3.5 hours, we ended up leaving. We were told they'd call us later that day to "get us in a new car." We never got a call - just an email from the salesperson saying "let me know what I can do to earn your business." I called right away, but the salesperson was "with a customer." My partner called the following Monday and was told they were "still waiting on a response from the lender." I called a few hours later and the salesperson told me I wasn't approved. I asked how long they knew that information and he wouldn't answer. I asked what the amount requested was (by then I had gotten some sleep and my sense back), and he wouldn't answer. I told him that I was told to come into the dealership under false pretenses, they wasted our time for 3.5 hours and nothing we were told made any sense. The salesperson responded, "well actually you wasted my time since you didn't get approved." I asked the salesperson to put a manager or sales lead on the phone (someone who might be capable of a more insightful conversation) and he acted like he was handing the phone to someone else but then proceeded to talk again. I've done that move too...IN THE THIRD GRADE. I asked who I was speaking with, as it sounded like the same person, and he kept deflecting and refused to answer. I told him I wasn't going to continue speaking with someone without knowing who it was and then he responded "I don't have to give you my name." These people are truly insufferable. They have no consideration for anyone's time, regardless of how much business you've given them. Also, I didn't go into the dealership with bad credit, I only left with it (after that hard inquiry). Oh, and the salesperson whose time "I wasted" because I didn't get approved for a loan amount that was never discussed and probably way more than what I wanted to spend on a car in the first place, was named Jasen :) More
I took my manual transmission 2018 Honda Civic SI in for an oil change and tire rotation on 10/17/23. I get a text message with a pdf attached indicating additional services were found to allegedly be neede an oil change and tire rotation on 10/17/23. I get a text message with a pdf attached indicating additional services were found to allegedly be needed - services that doubled my original estimate. One was for fuel injector cleaning, which wasn’t needed, but I get they are going to try to upsell. The other, however, was for an automatic transmission service. On my manual transmission vehicle. Being a female, I can say this isn’t the first time a shop has tried to take advantage of me and it’s a good thing I actually know a decent amount about cars being brought up in the car club scene since I was 14. I pointed out the issue and said that it was concerning that they would recommend a service on a vehicle that isn’t even able to be performed and that I couldn’t help but think it was done so with the hopes it would just get overlooked on my end and I denied the work. My husband and I went to pick up the vehicle that evening and spoke to the service manager and the writer, expressing our concerns - that it was either they were trying to take advantage of me as a female or their staff was incompetent and/or lazy because TWO employees would have had to miss this issue- the mechanic working on my car and the service writer. Neither option is good look because if the mechanic doesn’t even know what kind of car he is working on, that’s rather scary. Of course they denied trying to take advantage of me and essentially said it was laziness. We told them they lost a customer but felt like they should know the reasoning why so it could be fixed for future customers and we left the dealership. I thought that was the end of it. This evening I received a purely unsolicited phone call from a Faith with the dealership advising that she spoke to the service writer and wanted to get “my side of the story”. I immediately questioned that statement as I had no idea what she meant. She corrected it and said she just wanted my perception of what happened. As I tried to explain my position, I was cut off and was told my perception and how I felt was wrong. She literally did almost all of the talking. She was completely defensive and rude. Granted she did offer some free wipers or a tank of gas in between belittling me. I told her that her call kind of made things worse because I didn’t solicit it, I wasn’t asking for anything to begin with, and have had to now listen to her make excuses and tell me I was wrong. She then got very angry, loud and said something to the effect of “Wooooowwww. Okay, you have a nice day” in a condescending tone and legit HUNG UP ON ME. I feel like I am in an alternate universe right now. They called ME, completely unsolicited, ask me how I felt/what my perception was, and then tried to defend their actions and make excuses, blamed me for how I felt, and then hung up on me?! I literally have no idea where in what world they would think that was a good thing to do. Buyer just beware- really look at your service estimates to make sure they don’t do the same thing to you and be ready to be blamed and treated like you are the problem if you speak up when they ask you to tell them how you feel. Nobody seemed to care about the dead mouse in the vent of the car I just bought. I had to figure out how to get it out myself. I could of taken it in, but nobody at the dealership could assure me I wouldn' the car I just bought. I had to figure out how to get it out myself. I could of taken it in, but nobody at the dealership could assure me I wouldn't be charged a minimum of 200$ to have it even looked at. None of my emails were answered. I got through on the phone and I was told someone would get back to me, but no one did. I feel ignored. I know mice can get in anywhere, but do they really expect return customers when once you buy a car, you're on your own? More
Quindell was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He kept me informed and even though the part needed wasn't available he took care of me and will arrange to get the part needed. Took our 2020 Passport in for usual maintenance, and a static issue. Terrell listened to my concerns about my vehicle, and wrote it up on the work order. I called back several hours later with a minor static issue. Terrell listened to my concerns about my vehicle, and wrote it up on the work order. I called back several hours later with a minor issue, and it was taken care of when I pick up the vehicle. Everything was explained to me, and in a way I could understand. I always feel welcomed, and my husband feels confident enough to send me there and let me handle the situation knowing were getting the best service possible. Everyone is very respectful and courtesy in the service department. More
