First of all I would like to start off by stating that I am super satisfied with my purchase of a 2011 Tacoma Double Cab. After driving around a 2001 for a few years, i finally decided to trade up. I drove around the Portland area, and maybe because of my age or if i appeared not to be a credible person, I was not taken very seriously. I felt like nobody was willing to put in an extra effort into selling me a vehicle. I was handed a brochure and told, come back and see us when you are serious about buying. WOW. Their loss, because as soon as I walk in to Ron Tonkin, I met Ali Rahima, and he was very professional and understood exactly what I wanted, without all the little tricks of trying to convince me to look at other things that weren't important. Along that line, whatever things I asked about he explained in full detail, as well as informing me about criteria which actually related to my interests. I walked out of there feeling like I had made an awesome bargain, with not a thing to regret. When I buy again, and even my friends, I will always go and see him, because years down the road I will always remember the experience I had. As my first vehicle buying experience, I was concerned about finding what I wanted at a decent price and through a good dealership. I did a lot of research online and Tonkin had one of the better sites out there. When I initially contacted Tonkin I was introduced to my salesperson, Muhammed Babar Khan. I first spoke to Mr. Khan on the phone as I do not live in Portland. Mr. Khan answered my many calls and questions over the next few days, and even took videos of vehicles in which I was interested and e-mailed them to me to view. He explained every last detail to me in honest and gave me helpful advice which aided in my decision. I did not feel any pressure and got to choose the vehicle I wanted to buy. When I came up for a test drive Mr. Khan was cheerfully there to greet me at Tonkin's fine facilities. After examining the vehicle and going for the test drive we got down to business. Mr. Khan patiently helped me all of the way through the process, from explaining financing options to going over the vehicle facts and the actual signing. It was great working with him and feel he met all of my needs. I am very happy with the purchase and appreciate how smooth the process was. I would like to thank Tonkin for hiring great sales associates like Mr. Khan and running such a smooth and reputable business.
