Worse customer service I have ever experienced with any business. They absolutely did not care about my Telluride’s intermittently failing brakes “because our mechanic doesn’t experience it on his test d business. Avoid this place, When my daughter was ready to buy herself a new car we went there looking for a sedan, the "sales guy" was to busybon his phone to show her any and was just pushing Rio's on her, Went to Westen Kia, that where she started her car buying adventures, now 2 cars later she loves them Now my second daughter just bought her second car from them Back story.... I've bought 2 new kias from Tonkin, but never again!! I will spend as much effort as I can to spread the word about Ron Tonkin Kia Being untrustworthy and a bunch of crooks, How they have a high rating is beyond me Mabey there doing the own reviews to up there score!! I purchased a used 2010 Soul in February or 2019 from Tonkin KIA Gladstone. With only 25,000 miles I felt that I was making a Great Deal at that time... I am still of that opinion. Although they don't make a lot of profit on used autos, they did at the time of purchase treat me like a valued customer and continue to do so today. Recently, I struck and ran over an aluminum extension ladder at full speed on the 205 freeway. It wasn't properly secured and had slid off a truck that was a couple of car lengths ahead of me. Anybody get the number of that Guy? The car immediately in front of me struck and ran over it and then passed it on to me for my turn. Wham Bam much like a first timer schoolboy... it was just that fast. I literally had no time to react. Troubled, I took the car to a large well known tire retailer to have it inspected on their lift. After waiting around for over an hour I decided I'd spent enough time there and pulled the plug. It then occurred to me, take it to Tonkin KIA. I'm so glad I did... When I arrived it was lunch time and service was on lunch break. Seeing me perplexed at the service entry area Garret Keuler quickly finished what he was doing and asked me if he might help me? After I briefly explained my situation he simply said with a gesture... Hand me the keys and where is it parked? Within 5 minuets, I was led to the service bay area where my car was on the lift. Garrett encouraged me not to touch anything but, for me to have a look at the undercarriage. I am pleased to report No Apparent Damage to my car. Yes, I can even purchase new tires at a competitive price from Tonkin KIA too. Looks like Uncle Les was lucky to pass away while he still maintained control of his formerly wonderful business... Long winded message but, an honest assessment nonetheless. If I had the money I'd purchase a brand new Soul today. From Tonkin KIA Gladstone Oregon, of course. More

When I entered the dealership it was for an oil change This is my second purchase from Ron Tonkin Kia. Working with Mikol Filizetti was wonderful. When I entered the dealership it was for an oil change on my Kia Soul, Mikol greeted me while opening the door and was very courteous...he offered to show me the Telluride (cause I was just looking). Had he been pushy or aggressive I doubt I would have entertained the purchase... Since the Soul was so new I feel I received a wonderful deal and am over the moon with my new ride. More

Garrett told me that the repair should take between one-half to one hour. He also indicated a comfortable waiting area and told me to help myself to coffee and snacks. Within one-half hour he returned to tell me the repair had been completed. I applaud Ron Tonkin for the service and highly recommend Garrett for his pleasant and knowledgeable service. More

We have received top-notch service with each oil change. Our Toyota Hylander was in need of new brakes (or so we thought) and their estimate beat several competitors by hundreds of dollars. Clint Robertson, our service advisor, called me with good news. Once the technician took the brakes apart, the pads were at a 6. He took this info to Clint and said, “They don’t need new brakes but we can replace them if that’s what they want” I was blown away by their HONESTY! Clint further stated, “We never want to sell you something you don’t need” They put the car back together and I walked away without a charge and a HUGE smile on my face! More

Great safety features. Well insurance totaled car out and mentioned to check with dealer about GAP protection, so a call to dealership and a talk with Rebecca Zeigler(whom offered to guide me through GAP claim) I was starting the process to get old car loan paid off(in the end gap covered what insurance did not), but here I was in a rental and Rebecca asked if I would be interested in buying a new Kia Soul. Well survived so well the safety and fit had me sold so I accepted and Rebecca put me in touch with Scott Mooer to help pick out a car while she was getting the financing going. Scott went over what features were available and we narrowed done to the package I wanted and then just to pick a color, as Rebecca got all the paper work all lined up and in just a week after crash was in a new Soul, just having to wait on the GAP claim to go through. Great service for a previous customer. More

He is very personable, not a high pressure salesperson. He answers all your questions and helps you choose the model that best fits your needs. He goes the extra mile to help you get the car of your dreams within your budget. It should be noted that I was at the dealership to service my 2014 Sportage. Buying a new car was not really on my agenda today. However Alan provided answers to some questions I had and a sale was in process. More
