I received the Dealership Special Event in the mail to offer purchasing my used 2003 Honda Pilot for up to $1,000 over Kelley Blue Book Fair Trade Value based on their low inventory and the need for this offer purchasing my used 2003 Honda Pilot for up to $1,000 over Kelley Blue Book Fair Trade Value based on their low inventory and the need for this vehicle. I have been the sole owner of the vehicle since I purchased it new from the Portland Ron Tonkin Honda on SE 122nd and they considered me a valued customer. I had an expectation of receiving an offer in the range of $7,000 - $7,500 for my vehicle based on a number of positive factors and my own research on Kelley Blue Book. I was offered $6,000 which included the additional incentive. Upon hearing my rejection and me heading out the door, a counter offer came from them for $7,200. I expect this type of treatment from most dealerships, but not Honda. The same thing happened this spring when I went to purchase the new 2012 Honda CRV. They gave me an extremely low ball trade in offer for my other car (Subaru Impreza - very good condition) and I went to Gresham Honda and received a trade in value $3,000 more than theirs with no haggling. No surprise that this happened again from this dealership. I feel the need to shower after dealing with these people. Avoid them at all costs, they will rip you off! More

At Ron Tonkin Honda getting my element recall taken care of. I wanted a new spare key while I wait. So I asked the parts desk and he quoted me $30. So I went to the service desk guy to let him know and he tried to say the key is "$30-something" and another $78 for programing. This is right after I asked the parts guy how much it was. If you think car salesmen are shady, your service desk guy is just as shady if not more and they have it easier because your car is in for service and you guard is down. People should be aware of these bs when they bring their car in for services. I understand that service guys makes money off of commission but to lie to face like that after I asked one of your staff on the price of a key is pretty messed up. More

I recently bought a new Honda Accord at Ron Tonkin, the sale man; Dave Way was great to work with. I called him on Sunday and work out a deal in less then 4 hrs over the phone and e mails, which was hard d sale man; Dave Way was great to work with. The following Friday I picked up my new Accord with no hassles and the paper work was done with in 2 hours and I was off to Cannon Beach with my new Accord. I was searching for a new vehicle after my other car was wrecked. I can't stand the car buying experience, but this was by far the best experience I ever had. Our sales person Chris was the best. I was very interested in a new Honda CRV. I worked only over the phone with Waled; I received the best service I could imagine. When my vehicle arrived, I drove to the dealership and received the warmest welcome from Waled I could imagine. To complete all documentation, I had the fortune to work with Samy. All aspects of my new vehicle were described clearly and then Samy took me out to actually go over every perk included with my purchase. I had a great experience.
