I had searched for a personal car and found a used Mercedes SL 500 at Tonkin Honda in Gresham Washington. My communication with Silas, the used car manager was an excellent experience, and I commend him on his follow up and accuracy of information. This was very important as I had not seen the car, and flew in from Denver to pick it up. I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend the dealership. More

I bought my car from Ollie Moss and every time I'm in the Service Department he comes over and says Hello!! It's nice to be remembered and not thought of as just a "Car Deal" .....I would Recommend this Dealership to anyone looking for a car or even just needing Service on the one they have. I've even met the "Top Boss" Brent Behboodi, He has taken the time to say hello and have a conversation with me when I'm in for service. I love taking my car in for Service because it is Fast and Friendly every time and they make you feel welcome and almost like Family. Thanks again for the Great Service every time. More

Save your time - go somewhere else Bottom line: I went with another dealership. Not only was working with Scott and David confusing, but I had 4 different sales people contacting me fro Bottom line: I went with another dealership. Not only was working with Scott and David confusing, but I had 4 different sales people contacting me from the Tonkin dealership, asking for my information, like I had never met with anyone before. It is very frustrating to be bounced around to different sales people and none of them are on the same page. I ended up working with a younger guy, (not Scott) who informed me that the paperwork was looking good and I could come in that evening to review the financing....which I did. I drove across town with my 2 children at 8 at night to meet the sales rep and sign my paperwork. However, when I got there, he explained that the cars that David and Scott were showing me were not the types of vehicles I would be able to finance and the salesperson as well as the assistant manager were wondering if I would consider something other than a Honda and even if I were to consider another vehicle, I would need at least a couple thousand for down payment (Neither David or Scott mentioned the NEED for this and David even encouraged me to not use a down payment to assist with building my credit). Now my frustration kicked in because I drove across town thinking I would be driving home in a new car, and am hit with a down payment and the sales team questioning my car preferences (which I might add, was a list compiled by David himself). After the assistant manager got done speaking to me, as one would address a 6 year old that stole a cookie before dinner, I informed the team that I was done working with them and they needed to get their act to a more professional level. This was obviously a disappoint, given on how the interactions seemed when I spoke with Andrea via email and on the phone...and the first time I met Scott and David. However, it seemed like Scott pawned me off to a lower sales person because I wasn't interested in the cars he was pushing on me...which I find interesting that Scott FINALLY texted me just two days ago to see if he could still 'win my business'. At this point, I am sorry to say, he will not be winning my business now nor in the future. I worked with the McLoughlin dealership and was able to leave, same day with clear paperwork and with only sales person in a 2016. Doug with McLoughlin will make you feel good about buying your vehicle versus pushing you off the lot in a vehicle you don't like and/or can't be financed without hidden details. Train your sales people to be more professional, get on the same page, and understand you have all the time in the world because your livelihood depends on the treatment of the consumer. More
Service I went in with a driver's side mirror that had been shattered. I called and left 2 messages but didn't hear back, so I called the service desk, who had no record of my estimate because it was so informal. I had to go in again. Nichole looked at the damage but then when we went to order the part couldn't remember if it was driver or passenger side, couldn't remember if I needed the casing or just the mirror. Again-no written, real estimate. They ordered the part and scheduled me for the next day at 1, telling me it would take an hour. I showed up on time, handed over my key and waited. After an hour and a half I went to the desk to check on the progress since I had other obligations that afternoon. They had been looking for the part for the whole 90 minutes and had not even started the work!! They never thought that maybe they should come tell me that they couldn't find the part and that they would have to reschedule my appointment. I was the one who went up after an hour and a half to check in , so who knows how long they would have left me there. I have never encountered such poor management or decision making in a professional service business. I can' only imagine that it is because they have so much business that they really don't care about individuals or their time. There is no other explanation. I understand that things get lost but for the love of all that is holy, tell your customer what is going on. Why would you have someone sit for 90 minutes??!! I just can't say enough how I will never return, how I will never recommend and I will never support a Ron Tonkin dealership. My boycott will mean nothing to his bottom line and he will continue to foster business practices that screw the little guy. For my peace of mind I am done. By the way, I cannot believe they have received any "excellence in service awards" like the banners say. Must be some sort of scam. More

I found that my engine is overhitting just one day before my family trip to Canad I had the best auto service experience ever at Ron Tonkin Honda! I found that my engine is overhitting just one day before my family trip to Canada. Josh Matson and Gunard Solberg were willing to look at my car even though I did not have an appointment scheduled with them. They were completely booked, but to save my vacation, they found extra time and fixed my car the same day!! Thank you guys so much!! My family is so grateful!!! I highly recommend Ron Tonkin Honda!
