Had it not been for his patience, honesty, and understanding, I would have given 3's, with price being the exception at 1 star. For starters, Andy drove out about 30 minutes to pick me up! He was very informative and thorough when showing us our soon-to-be CRV. He was upfront and patient with me as I took my sweet time to haggle down the price (or at least attempt to). He never gave me the impression that he was a car salesman trying to push me to close, but more of a friend who wanted me to make the best decision for myself. I should note that it was my first time buying a car at a dealership and it was definitely a learning experience. I can't say I loved it, but Andy definitely made it an easier experience for me. More

Consistent quality, value and trust! I have a love/hate relationship with cars. I love them when they work. Hate having problems. This is why I always stick with reliable brands (Honda, T I have a love/hate relationship with cars. I love them when they work. Hate having problems. This is why I always stick with reliable brands (Honda, Toyota, Apple, Nokia, Craftsman, etc). But even with the best brands, things can go wrong. We have a Honda Odyssey Touring Edition with 75K miles. A lot can go wrong with this car as there are a LOT of gadgetry on this van. For the most part we have not had any major issues. Except one. The front axle had a wobble to it that was hard to locate but eventually replaced free of charge from Honda. Excellent service and care, even though it was out of warranty. Ron Tonkin went the extra mile to communicate to Honda that it looks like a manufacturing defect. As I said, Honda picked up the tab. But that experience is not why I am writing. 20K miles or so AFTER the axle was fixed, I had a ball joint go bad on the same side. Again, they determined that this was related to the bad axle (wobble) and Honda picked up the cost for this. All of this could not have happened without Ron Tonkin advocating for their customers. They really take the stress out of owning and servicing a car. One last note....From time to time I do call around to other dealerships and private Honda service shops and find that Ron Tonkin's service prices are right in the middle of the road on cost if not lower. More

I went through USAA and within minutes of starting the internet process Andrew Sorensen called me. He was great and sent me a price quote within minutes. Over the next week we conversed several times and worked out a price. We came down and Andrew was busy so Tanya helped us. As it turned out we found a different car on the lot that met what we wanted. Tanya helped worked out a price that we felt was the right one and purchased the car. We can't thank both Tanya and Andrew enough for making the process a pleasant one. And after that Andrew was more than helpful in helping us setup the car initially and offered any help in the future. It was a great experience for us. Thanks Tanya and Andrew! More

Tim Darmody at Ron Tonkin was by far the most knowledgeable saleman I spoke to. He took the time to go over all of the features of the vehicle I was shopping for inside and out. When I told him the other vehicles I was looking at, he was able to tell me specifics about where Honda was better and where the competition was comparable. I really appreciated his candor and patience with all of our questions. More

When it came time to replace our Civic Hybrid, we dutifully looked at the other hybrids and high fuel economy brands on the market. We really noticed the difference between the tense, high pressure environments at the other dealers and Ron Tonkin Honda. Whenever we walk into Ron Tonkin Honda, we are treated like family. It is a calm, no pressure environment. Erick Rodriquez helped us test drive every car in the Honda line-up until we found the one that was just right for us. When we decided on a 2015 Fit EX-L in Aegean blue, Erick worked diligently to locate one for us, and when he finally found one in Coos Bay, had it brought to Portland. The entire crew worked until the close of business on a Sunday to get our car prepped and ready. We love the car, and love working with the Tonkin team. There is nothing like driving away in your new car with a big smile on your face. More
