Oh we did not work on your car we don't have time. so leave it hear for 3-4 days and maybe we will fix it. The issue is a wheel sensor that's it. Will not go back they obviously do not want my business. Acted very put out that I could not just leave my car till they decided to get to it. Why have an appointment they have no intention of keeping. More

Don't TRUST the service technicians! I dropped my car off to have the windows tinted. My car has a app on my phone that alerts me to certain items. They drove the car 12 miles and used I dropped my car off to have the windows tinted. My car has a app on my phone that alerts me to certain items. They drove the car 12 miles and used 1/8th tank of my total FUEL.... again for 12 miles! The car is not a gas guzzler- so I was shocked. At pickup- my car was the only one in the line of cars that was NOT washed - they even had a guy out there drying other cars. There was no foot mat in the floor either- and there was a a bunch of dried dirt on the floor. When starting the car, the settings was on the "speed warning" setting and it was turned to OFF!! Obviously they used my fuel and drove the car 12 miles at HIGH speeds... or used the "launch" system. They have a TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT for how to treat cars they don't own! Will never go to their service department again!! More
Undeniably the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a car dealer. I have a 2019 Ram Rebel, under Mopar MaxCare Coverage, and I've been dealing with a crunchy / terrible sounding right p ever had at a car dealer. I have a 2019 Ram Rebel, under Mopar MaxCare Coverage, and I've been dealing with a crunchy / terrible sounding right passenger folding mirror. My wife was recently in the market for a new vehicle, and I wanted her to check out the Jeep Wrangler 4xE, so I figured we could swing by the dealer and make an apt for my truck for service and drive / look at the wrangler to consider purchasing. The Wrangler purchase attempt: The salesman that 'helped' us with the Wrangler took me to the wrong service dept to make my appointment (apparently they have a service desk for 'fast' things like oil change, and one for more intensive work). He then proceeded to tell us we could not look inside any of the existing Wrangler 4xE on their lot, because they had not been 'inspected' yet. He graciously offered us the opportunity to look through the window to decide if we'd like to purchase a $65k Wrangler Rubicon 4xE, and also, we could drive a 3 year old used 3.6 liter Gas version (who hasn't driven a 3.6 Pentastar wrangler?). I had more knowledge about every feature of the 4xE than he did, and when my wife mentioned that she wasn't sure the Rubicon felt "nice' enough inside for a $65k purchase, he scoffed and said "well if you want to spend $120k I can get you the Grand Wagoneer. Not sure if he thought we couldn't afford the purchase, or what, but we rolled up in a $60k rebel so I have no idea what he was getting at. Either way, not impressed with his lack of knowledge of his product or his complete lack of interest in selling a vehicle. The RAM Rebel Service attempt: Drove over to other side of lot to the proper service area. Approached one of 3 people sitting at computers in service area who acted like they couldn't be bothered. Asked whom I should speak to for service for my truck. A woman was paged who came out, asked what I needed and asked for 'some days' that i might be available so she could go back to her computer to look for a date for service. The first available date was about 4 weeks out. Not ideal considering I'm unable to use the mirror without fearing additional damage being caused, but I understand we are in trying times. I took the appointment and left with my wife to continue our search for her new vehicle elsewhere. No formal confirmation of the appointment, she was just scribbling on a note pad. Flash forward 3.5 weeks, when i realize I don't have the date in my calendar for the service. I call them up and apologize and ask to clarify when my date is, which is Tuesday the 15th at 11:30am. Monday, the 14th, I received a call from RAM I was unable to pick up at around 1200. At 3pm, I received a text message stating my apt for 11:30 the following day would be with Eric to go over my repairs. At this point, I'm sitting at a Toyota Dealer finalizing a truck for my wife, and I think nothing of it. Show up at Ron Tonkin for my apt at 11:30, parking in the service garage by the doors. I go inside and say "Hi, is this where I should park my truck for my service apt at 11:30?" Woman at the desk says "maybe, what's your name?" After giving it to her, she goes, "yeah... we tried to call you to cancel your apt yesterday". I say "Sorry, what? ::pull out phone:: I have a text message from ::squints:: 3pm confirming my apt". She sort of chortles, and says "different system". Then she tells me they can reschedule me in another 5 weeks, March 22nd. I ask how on earth they are moving me 5 weeks into the future, and she shrugs and says "staffing shortage". No apology for the hassle, for wasting my time, for being completely incompetent, etc. Extremely rude 'customer service' employee clearly uninterested in helping in any way. Will never return, will let everyone I know looking for vehicles to never go here. Absolutely pathetic dealership. It took me 5 minutes and the first Ram dealership I called that wasn't a Tonkin to get me in for service next week. More

This has been a rough summer for Tonkin Jeep. This is really about Tonkin and Jeep/FCA/Stellantis. I'd give the two salesmen who helped directly top marks but given what has happened since I cannot exte really about Tonkin and Jeep/FCA/Stellantis. I'd give the two salesmen who helped directly top marks but given what has happened since I cannot extend that same consideration to either Jeep or Tonkin. Right now the general manager is involved which to me is a huge PLUS .... it shows that Tonkin cares enough about its buyers to get involved at the highest level if need be ..... and in our case it is needed because Jeep HQ needs to support their dealers a whole lot better. Jeep has dumped a huge assortment of complex, new vehicles, that compete among themselves for buyers, on their dealers this year which makes the job difficult but does not excuse everything. Poor assembly. Assembly put in wrong wood trim and problems with engine dieseling, liftgate kick function not working, left rear proximity alarm not working, engine on-off fuel saver not functioning, and too many other high tech functions acting up.. It is like whomever designed the high tech set-up has never driven a car. All lined up to buy this new L top model before we went in. Took them over THREE hours to do the simple paperwork. Took us about half an hour to do the paperwork 6 years ago on our home purchase. Hood latch and trim noted before we left the lot. Trim not ordered until a month later when I started pushing. Some items are minor but in their totality there is just too much wrong with assembly and the 'new Jeep service commitment' to owners. The sales department was like people sitting around not wanting or scared to do anything. The primary fellow who helped us with the purchase left their employment ... I was e-mailing a dead-end and no one was assigned to cover his sales. More
Disappointed with my experience at this dealership. We were pushed around between multiple sales associates and they kept showing me cars I said I didn’t want. When I asked for PO for specific car so I co were pushed around between multiple sales associates and they kept showing me cars I said I didn’t want. When I asked for PO for specific car so I could get a check from my credit union they said they couldn’t do that and could only provide a total sale quote. They also said they couldn’t hold the car for me and it would be on the car lot until I come back with the check. The sale quote did not work for the underwriter and I had to scramble and get a PO and hope the car I wanted hasn’t sold yet. It took them way too long to get the quote and I was stressed with the whole process. In the end, I bought the car but they took 3 weeks to fix rear view mirror so I couldn’t drive it the car since it was not road legal with missing rear view mirror. More
