My O2 sensor is a bit rusted and instead of trying known techniques to remove it, they wanted to brute force it and have me give them the green light to damage my catalytic converter, which they wanted to c techniques to remove it, they wanted to brute force it and have me give them the green light to damage my catalytic converter, which they wanted to charge me an extra 3 grand for if they broke it during the process. I understand not wanting to take the liability, but if they would take the time to do it properly there should not be damage done to other parts of the vehicle. I bought my car here and had hopes that if anyone could do it properly, it would be them especially for what they were charging, boy was I wrong. O2 sensor threads are known to rust, so you think they would have experience in this area. It is disappointing to say the least. More
DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI OR BUY FROM THIS TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP. I have purchased multiple vehicles from this dealership. I purchased extended warranties on all as I was led to believe they would "kic DEALERSHIP. I have purchased multiple vehicles from this dealership. I purchased extended warranties on all as I was led to believe they would "kick in" after the factory warranty expired, only to find that was NOT the case and I was essentially paying for a warranty on top of a warranty I already had, shameful misleading Marhofer sales folks. The service dept is terrible, ridiculously expensive and poorly trained lacking with mediocre workmanship. The sales dept will tell you anything they want in order to get you to purchase a vehicle, READ the fine print, don't trust a word that comes out of their mouth. Now on to Hyundai vehicles......if you are considering a Hyundai (any Hyundai) make sure you read the attached first (I guarantee you wont want to buy one after reading it) https://hyundaithetaenginesettlement.com/ AND https://hyundaithetaenginesettlement.com/docs/Theta_Settlement_Notice.pdf So if you buy any Hyundai be aware that around 50k-60K they all start burning oil, by the time you hit 80K they will be burning LOTS OF OIL. I had two of my three vehicles burn three quarts of oil every 500 miles and they were under 80K mileage. Hyundai knows this is a design fault. SO they settled the lawsuit with a "lifetime engine warranty". Sounds great eh? Not so fast. You need to pay $260 to do an oil change and an oil consumption test to "prove" its burning oil. Once they determine that you then have to pay $900 for a carbon cleaning and then do another oil consumption test. If it fails that again you get to get the engine replaced !! Fantastic right? Not so fast, you are now out $1200.00 for nothing for something supposedly under warranty and lucky you, you get to have a used re manufactured engine installed in your vehicle, which by the way will do the exact same thing the current engine you have did !! This AFFECTS all there GDI vehicles, new and old, Sonata, Palisades, Tucson, Elantra, Santa Fe......see the class action lawsuit details. The Hyundai warranty isn't worth crap and the dealer about the same. Stay away from the dealer and Hyundai and don't expect your engine to last past 100K without major issues. Pay the extra and buy a Honda or Toyota instead of this design flawed pieces of junk. I know I bought three of them....and learned the hard way. Shameful Hyundai and Ron Marhofer. More

It’s really pains me to write this but I find it very necessary as well as needed. The Sales Team and supporting sales staff(ex. Financing dept. And etc.) are top notch professionals and I wouldn’t hesit necessary as well as needed. The Sales Team and supporting sales staff(ex. Financing dept. And etc.) are top notch professionals and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another vehicle here, BUT that’s where it ends. The Service Dept is very much in need of overhaul as their priority is 100 percent different than the Sales Team and supporting staff. The current service team spends more time and energy in finding ways to take money from the loyal hyundai purchasers than finding ways to legitimately help them. As a buyer of multiple hyundai vehicles from this dealership I’m living proof the service department is 100 percent about bringing money in EVEN from owners who have a current bumper to bumper warranty. Yes, they tried to charge me for an issue that there team had previously caused. Thankfully Hyundai as a corporation stepped in and took care of the issue that was corrected at another Hyundai service department elsewhere. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Ron Marhofer Hyundai, BUT I recommend getting ANY service work done elsewhere. As a team you are only as strong as your weakest link and in this case, the Service Dept is it and thats why I awarded them 1 star as service is a very important aspect that goes into purchasing a vehicle. So unfortunate! More
Marhofer Hyundai's service department in Cuyahoga Falls is TERRIBLE! I had an issue with my 2023 Elantra (that I purchased there) and was told if they couldn't find the problem they would charge me severa is TERRIBLE! I had an issue with my 2023 Elantra (that I purchased there) and was told if they couldn't find the problem they would charge me several hundred dollars, even though my car is almost brand new. They had never heard of the problem I was experiencing. I took it to another dealership 40 miles away and they immediately knew of the problem, got me in the same day and fixed it, as it was a simple software update. On top of that, I had another experience with someone in their service department who was rude and didn't care at all about customer service. I will never go back. Avoid this place at all costs. More
Went in for brake service on March 1st. They replaced rear pads, calipers, and rotors (among other things). My brakes went out on April 2nd driving home from work, no pedal resistance, hand They replaced rear pads, calipers, and rotors (among other things). My brakes went out on April 2nd driving home from work, no pedal resistance, handbrake didn't work either. Sent car in for repairs and they tried to send it back to me without checking/fixing the handbrake despite me telling them to check it multiple times. I'm never buying another car from Marhofer because I refuse to have anything to do with their service department ever again. More
I and my family have purchased many vehicles over the years from this family owned buisness. Due to the rude and unprofessional service team this will discontniue. When you have customers waiting infro years from this family owned buisness. Due to the rude and unprofessional service team this will discontniue. When you have customers waiting infront of you, don't ignore them and keep making phone calls. They then proceeded to tell me they don't carry synthetic blend oil and my oil change would be a 100 bucks. You morons could have tell me that when I made the appointment. Rude, dissrespectful, and lazy are the words that come to mine with your service team. The money my family and freinds have spent I/we deserve better. I am done ! More

Let me start out by saying I have been a loyal customer of ron marhofer for over 12 years and have bought multiple new vehicles from them, I have always spoke very highly of them and always recommended the of ron marhofer for over 12 years and have bought multiple new vehicles from them, I have always spoke very highly of them and always recommended them, that is until today, a couple weeks ago I was notified that my vehicle was due for it's 3 year maintenance service and a recall and I asked them to schedule a service, my vehicle came with 3 years complimentary service, which the woman scheduling the service acknowledged, I live in cleveland and drive all the way to cuyahoga falls because of how good they have always been, when I arrived today for service they informed me I was outside the complimentary service , I explained that the service was scheduled by them and that it was done within the time limits, even though actual service was scheduled outside the time limit, to begin with this is ridiculous and should not have even been an issue but apparently it was and I was referred to the "service manager". After waiting 45 minutes he finally had time for me at which time he starts saying statements that were completely not true like I'm in kindergarten, mind you I am 56 years old, maybe he just looks at older people as stupid, statements like how the service contract was clearly explained when I purchased the car, ummmm no, like that has anything to do with it, how condescending, and how most people nowadays only use 1 oil change in 3 years or it only takes 20 minutes to get from cuyahoga falls to cleveland, REALLY???? Just stupid statements. Then said let us do the recall and he will send out an email to get approval for an oil change then after being there for 2 hours he says they cant do the oil change and started again with excuses!!! This appointment was made by ron marhofer and complimentary service acknowledged by them and once I drive 45 minutes down there they deny it, I dont know how the "service manager got his job or who gave it to him but I do know that he has no customer service experience, and because of him and this horrible experience, this will be my last time patronizing ron marhofer hyundai. The way the Service department is set up to handle each customer is ridiculous. Only being able to work with your "assigned" service advisor is inconvenient and unappreciative of the customer's time. Havin customer is ridiculous. Only being able to work with your "assigned" service advisor is inconvenient and unappreciative of the customer's time. Having to call back or wait for your "assigned" service advisor is something that screams this center isn't operating at the highest degree of customer interests. There have been times when I have called to speak with the service department and have been on hold for 45 minutes. Overall, just lacking in many areas. More
