The staff and leadership at the Hyundai store are exceptional. Their sales staff are salaried not commission based; they work on providing you the best experience for what YOU want not what brings i exceptional. Their sales staff are salaried not commission based; they work on providing you the best experience for what YOU want not what brings in the most money for their paychecks. They are a high-volume store and sometimes there is a wait to get into finance and get the deal complete. Should you ever feel uncomfortable with anything, just speak up and they'll do their very best to address your concerns. I've been here going on 8 years and feel very strong about the amazing customer-focused approach to understanding and satisfying the needs, preferences, and expectations of every customer. More
Great place to buy a car. They make the buying experience easy because they give you the best price upfront no hidden fees. Everything is explained upfront. I decided not to go with this dealer due to hidden fees and costs. They list a vehicle at a good price, I wanted a total because I was coming out of state and I was a guaranteed buyer of 1 of 2 vehicles I and costs. They list a vehicle at a good price, I wanted a total because I was coming out of state and I was a guaranteed buyer of 1 of 2 vehicles I was interested in. So I asked for the total so I could get a cashiers check. All of.a sudden the car I was buying was over $1100 more with charges. Making the car cost more than what blue book value was. $695 for a protective spray coat for inside and out. Wait what?? That wasn't my decision. A $422 documentation fee. When I informed them I wasn't paying that there response was just come see the car anyway and then decide. A 3 1/2 hour drive? Then I had to listen to the manager tell me about his wife and how they drove out of state just to look at a car. I said stop talking. Either the $695 gets removed or keep your car. Bottom line. I didn't wait for a response. I bought a car from a private seller, saved over $2000 and they can keep their coated car. Ridiculous or what?? I am very happy with the deal I made. Just so everyone is away ohio changed their laws. They are allowed to charge ridiculous documentation fees now. This dealer took it to the max at $422 plus $695 for a spray the dealership chose to do. Not my bill or cost.. Buyers beware. They are only forcing people to seek private sellers especially with the dealer adding on $695 not even making the car worth the cost and taking the documentation fee to the max.. Never again. Waste of my time. My time is money. More
It’s really pains me to write this but I find it very necessary as well as needed. The Sales Team and supporting sales staff(ex. Financing dept. And etc.) are top notch professionals and I wouldn’t hesit necessary as well as needed. The Sales Team and supporting sales staff(ex. Financing dept. And etc.) are top notch professionals and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another vehicle here, BUT that’s where it ends. The Service Dept is very much in need of overhaul as their priority is 100 percent different than the Sales Team and supporting staff. The current service team spends more time and energy in finding ways to take money from the loyal hyundai purchasers than finding ways to legitimately help them. As a buyer of multiple hyundai vehicles from this dealership I’m living proof the service department is 100 percent about bringing money in EVEN from owners who have a current bumper to bumper warranty. Yes, they tried to charge me for an issue that there team had previously caused. Thankfully Hyundai as a corporation stepped in and took care of the issue that was corrected at another Hyundai service department elsewhere. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Ron Marhofer Hyundai, BUT I recommend getting ANY service work done elsewhere. As a team you are only as strong as your weakest link and in this case, the Service Dept is it and thats why I awarded them 1 star as service is a very important aspect that goes into purchasing a vehicle. So unfortunate! More
I love my new vehicle. I just wish I bought it from another dealership. I didn't really feel any pressure to buy in the beginning. It was just the normal sales pitch- offe I just wish I bought it from another dealership. I didn't really feel any pressure to buy in the beginning. It was just the normal sales pitch- offering extra rebates. I had shopped around a little, so I knew the prices other dealers were offering, and the price was competitive. After I decided to buy a vehicle, the finance person came in and told me about the vehicle protection and warranty plans. I didn't want them and declined. Then I had three salesman telling me that it's a mistake not to purchase them; one even said he ensured his mother purchased one. I still declined, but after a while, I decided to add them after confirming I could cancel if I wish. There are a lot of electrical components, and they are expensive to repair. That is no falsehood. I was, after all, purchasing a new vehicle because my other car needed more work than it was worth. It had already stranded me once late at night in the middle of no where. I didn't want that experience ever again, so the paperwork was signed and all was good. The next day, I called my insurance company to go over my policy. I was informed that since I purchased a new vehicle, I was automatically enrolled in their new vehicle mechanical breakdown plan. I wasn't even aware they had one, but it was much, much less expensive than the dealer plan and covered for a longer period of time. So, I decided to cancel the plan I purchased from the dealer. Since I bought the car from a dealership three hours away from my home, I called my local dealership and asked if I could come to them to cancel the plans, and they said sure, because I financed with Hyundai. When I got there, the finance person at the dealership said they couldn't do it because the dealer I purchased from broke the various service contracts and warranties up in a weird way, and, wow, some of their (Ron Marhofer's) prices were expensive. My suspicions were raised because Ron Marhofer just so happened to be having computer trouble while trying to get my contract together, and there were a couple of errors they had to fix. I didn't read the written contract in its entirety as it was after closing hours. The main numbers were correct. I assumed all was as spoken. So, I went home and carefully read through the contract. I realized that the 60 month warranties I thought I purchased were really only for 48 months. I was mad, of course, mostly at myself, so I emailed and called new car sales and the finance office at Ron Marhofer requesting the cancellations of the vehicle protection plan and service warranties. It took three days to get a response, but I emailed the signed cancellation forms the day I received them. That was six weeks ago. Every time I call for a status update, no one responds. There's been no adjustments to my finance amount or anything- just radio silence and the voice mail at Ron Marhofer. So, I called the warranty company, and they said they had not received any cancellation forms, but they would accept the cancellations without the dealer signature. They also told me that the dealerships set the pricing for the vehicle service contracts and warranties. So, apparently every part of the deal: the car price, finance rate, and the price and length of the vehicle service contracts and warranties are all negotiable. I won't be needing another vehicle for a long while, I hope, but maybe my experience and new insight will give those who read this a better experience and a better deal. Ron Marhofer, never again. Charles, Nick, if underhandedness is a saleperson's credo, you are exceptional at your trade. More
Marhofer Hyundai's service department in Cuyahoga Falls is TERRIBLE! I had an issue with my 2023 Elantra (that I purchased there) and was told if they couldn't find the problem they would charge me severa is TERRIBLE! I had an issue with my 2023 Elantra (that I purchased there) and was told if they couldn't find the problem they would charge me several hundred dollars, even though my car is almost brand new. They had never heard of the problem I was experiencing. I took it to another dealership 40 miles away and they immediately knew of the problem, got me in the same day and fixed it, as it was a simple software update. On top of that, I had another experience with someone in their service department who was rude and didn't care at all about customer service. I will never go back. Avoid this place at all costs. More
