The Best Price; Worst Dealer - See What they Since Did to M I initially wrote a very positive review on this dealership. Since my original purchase, my dealings with them have turned into a complete horror sto I initially wrote a very positive review on this dealership. Since my original purchase, my dealings with them have turned into a complete horror story. They have to be among the most worst, most dishonest, and calculating of car dealerships. They hide behind a smiling face, but when their true nature is revealed; it is beyond ugly. John Wyzykowski, Service Manager, but also it turns out "Customer Relations Manager", upon my putting in a complaint with Toyota, called me, instead of to discuss the issues & work with me as a customer to achieve a resolution, abruptly told me that their dealership made a decision to ban me from any further visits, and that they would perform no work ever on my car, and that the relationship was being totally severed. They SOLD me the car. Per Toyota, THEY are the dealership that should be fixing their screwups, and providing me with total service. The General Manager, Sean Hargrove, who is never there when you call was left voice mails by 2 different Toyota Customer Service employees, and two more by me prior to my submitting a complaint to Toyota, & after submission, and asked that he personally deal with me the customer and the District Manager to work these problems out. Mr. Hargrove could have & should have returned my call & try to work a solution with me, but he demonstrated that he has not a modicum of concern, interest or human decency to towards his dealership's clients. He NEVER called anyone back, speaking volumes on how he runs Thomas Toyota, &, I would extrapolate, Thomas Nissan, which is right next door. So, there are no excuses for running a dealership as a never available manager. This is a far cry from their prior manager, Michael Gors, who, if you note in other low-rated reviews here, would at least extend himself to unhappy customers, and ask that they personally call or email him. You won't find ONE response from Sean Hargrove either here, or on any site. BEWARE - this dealership is a vicious and nasty place, and the "Customer Relations Manager" is hardly what Toyota misrepresents to owners as their "own Toyota employee who is the watchdog, the eyes and ears for Toyota." This is a sham setup from Toyota. They don't have watchdogs from Toyota; they are simply dealership employees who have a vested interest of their own, not one for the customer.. More

Sales Manager Lied Wasted eight hours of my life. I found a brand new Toyota highlander online that was exactly what I was looking for at a fair price. I was coming from Wasted eight hours of my life. I found a brand new Toyota highlander online that was exactly what I was looking for at a fair price. I was coming from a three hours away so I wanted to be sure I took care of all the details before I arrived- price and financing. I called and arranged everything over the phone with the sales manager, Sal. The application did not go through right away so he had to contact Toyota - or so I was told. He called me back and said Toyota approved me at the desired rate. I had his assurance that I was good to go and I was approved for financing. He gave me his word that he personally took care of it. I drove down to the dealership that night. We took the car for a test drive and liked it so we were ready to buy. Apparently, Sal lied and never put the credit application into the system so I had to do it that night. I thought it would be no problem since he told me I was already approved. I sat down with Levi the finance manager to take care of it. Turns out that by the time I arrived to the dealership Toyota financial was already closed for the evening. I suspected this was going to be an issue which is why I arranged everything with Sal earlier in the day. He told me he contacted Toyota directly and I was approved. He lied. In the end I was unable to take the car home after three hours of driving to the dealership and two hours of sitting at the dealership. I had to drive back to Wisconsin empty handed only to get a call and nine in the morning telling me that I was in fact approved. After wasting eight hours of my life trying to buy a car I will not be returning. I would advise anyone shopping for a new or used vehicle to stay far away from Joliet Toyota. My advice to them would be to keep their word and not lie to customers buying brand new cars. This was by far my worst car shopping experience in my life. More
