After one telephone conversation with Lucia Romeo, general manager, I knew that I was purchasing my car from her dealership. There was no hassle and to me, even more importantly, no hustle. As a result of this conversation, I was confident that the salesperson, Dominick Noonan, who would eventually guide me through the purchase, would be a professional and I was not disappointed. His knowledge of the product and services was comprehensive; indeed, he answered questions before I would pose them. As good as the car itself is, I believe he was able to make the purchase even more attractive to me. Customer opinions do count and in mine Dominick is an important asset to this dealership. I had the pleasure of finalizing the transaction with the business manager, Eric Sasso. He too displayed professionalism while exhibiting much appreciated common courtesy (an uncommon trait in one so young). My son's first car We did some shopping online looking for the perfect car for my son's first purchase of a car. This is a big endeavor for a 19 year old and we wanted We did some shopping online looking for the perfect car for my son's first purchase of a car. This is a big endeavor for a 19 year old and we wanted to make sure he was treated fairly. We had a list of dealerships that we were going to visit and the first on the list was Romeo Kia in Kingston. We stopped by and perused the used cars on the lot without any interruption from a pushy salesman, which in my eyes was their first point scored. When we were finished looking, Eric Sasso came out to the lot, introduced himself and asked if he could help. We told him that my son was looking for a car and he then directed most of his conversation and questions to my son....second point scored. He treated my son like an adult and like a serious customer, not just some kid he could take advantage of because he was young. We went inside to put some numbers together on a car that my son was interested in. Eric made sure to get all pertinent information from us regarding budget and what my son could afford to pay. He then went to discuss with Mike in finance and came back with figures that were close and we thought we could work with. We filled out credit app and left expecting a call the next day. However, we discussed it more amongst ourselves and decided to let Eric know that we were going to be looking around elsewhere as the numbers he gave us were too out of range of John's budget. Eric asked us to give him some time and he would go to Mike and see if there was anything they could do. They called us and managed to get financing within John's budget and also get a warranty included in the monthly payment so that my son did not have to pay for an extended warranty on top of his monthly car payment. And not once did they seem annoyed that we were making them do more work. We were very impressed. We had all intentions of going to different dealerships and looking around but the staff at Kia Romeo were so professional, friendly, down to earth and non-pushy that we didn't see the need. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to Eric and Mike who gave us so many laughs which made the whole car buying experience a real joy. And thank you to Romeo Kia for a car that my son is very proud to say he owns. More
