Our experience the day we picked up the car was bad. We were kept waiting til after 7 p.m., never got to meet with the Credit Mgr. Mr.Vandyke, the salesman Mr. Reopell didn't have time for us either and tu were kept waiting til after 7 p.m., never got to meet with the Credit Mgr. Mr.Vandyke, the salesman Mr. Reopell didn't have time for us either and turned us over to a man who knew nothing about the deal to sign the paperwork. One document said the car had been a rental car which we had not been told in advance and another said we were being charged about $600. for a protective spray another surprise. Even though we were trading in a vehicle financed through a lender we expected to use again they sent the application to 6 lenders which caused unnecessary inquiries on my credit report which dropped my credit score by 9 points overnight. Even though they could have corrected this they refused and a letter to the owner Joe Romeo went unanswered. On top of all this the car needed a new transmission within two months and has to have two tires replaced. They don't care and the attitude runs right from the top down to every employee we came in contact with. More

They used high pressure tactics and are not accurate on their figures. I wonder if it is because I was a women. We live in Ringwood ,New Jersey and needed a new car quickly. After researching we decided on an AWD Buick Lacrosse. A friend who also lives in North Jersey recommended Romeo Buick located 80 miles f quickly. After researching we decided on an AWD Buick Lacrosse. A friend who also lives in North Jersey recommended Romeo Buick located 80 miles from our home. He leased a Regal from Romeo in June 2011 and was extremely happy with not only his treatment from the sales staff (Mike Block) but also from Lucia Romeo- the general manager. Nevertheless, we politely told him that in no way would we travel 80 miles for a car. We negotiated with a local Buick dealer and emphasized the urgency for a car. That deal fell apart after not hearing from them in two days and leaving messages with the sales consultant. On Friday (3/23) our persistent friend contacted Romeo and spoke to Lisa Elder informing her that we would like a car- but needed to be convinced to travel 80 miles. Would she make it worth the trip for us? Lisa responded (without missing a beat or pause) that – “We deliver !” She stated that they have delivered cars to PA and Delaware. What can only be defined as incredible customer service, Lisa Edler and Mike Block were able to put together a terrific package that was more favorable than the NJ Buick dealer. We had the car on Monday (3/26) and did not need to make the 80 mile trip ! Mike drove the car to Oakland DMW where we met him. Many people have shared their positive experiences on this site regarding Romeo Buick. These people work hard for your business. Romeo’s motto is – “We sell cars Family Style.” We can attest that Romeo’s staff truly values their customers and is sensitive to their needs. Also, they have an excellent easy web site to navigate …with only one small recommendation that is missing. I would not recommend this dealership. I had purchased a used car there and when I had it inspected by my mechanic He discovered a leaking axle. This right after it went thru the dealership's service Dept. When the vehicle was returned for repairs they said the seal was not leaking is was just wet. Laughable huh? Anyway so it's either a small claims action or I just eat the bill for repairs. that's my problem not yours. But I do know many people and I will pass the word on my experiences at this place. That is the best way to deal with poor service. More
Purchased a used car from Romeo Chevrolet. Used car manager told us and I quote "this car needed nothing, all we did to it was an oil change" On the way home from picking up the car from the dealer fou manager told us and I quote "this car needed nothing, all we did to it was an oil change" On the way home from picking up the car from the dealer found the drivers side mirror did not work properly. I stopped and filled it with gas and put the car in the garage. Went out to the garage later that night and the garage was full of gas fumes. I pulled the car out of the garage and the next morning there was a large puddle of gas underneath the car. Called the dealer, they came and picked up the car. After two weeks in the shop, they finally finished the car. On the way home, the oil light came on, which kind of made me wonder if they really did an oil change. Purchased oil and filter drained the oil and it did not look like oil that only was in an engine for less than 200 miles. The oil filter (cartridge type) also did not look to new. Drove the car for a week, filled it with gas and now the fuel gauge goes to goes to 3/4 of a tank and takes about 20 minutes to go the full. I bought the car back to the dealer and they told me this was "normal". I've yet to drive a car with a fuel gauge that operates like that. Car also has a leaking valve cover gasket but I was told that's not covered under warranty. So be careful before you buy a used car from this dealer. Your best bet is the have your own mechanic check it out before you give them a check. More

Each individual I worked with proved to me that customer service is their number one priority. In addition, each person was knowlegable in the information they gave and each one of them put forth tremendous effort to ensure I was able to drive off in my new (used) car. Their level of professionalism and customer service far surpasses any other dealership I have visited in the past. Would I recommend this dealership to others? Not only would I recommend it, I will make it a personal mission to spread the word about how incredible Romeo in Kingston is! It is easy to see why they are a driving force in the dealership world! Quite honestly, the other dealerships should just close their doors... Now that I've had this experience at Romeo, I will never shop for another car anywhere else. More

I had a friendly non-pressure sale. Chris was great from the being to the end with information, knowledge and response time. He even came in on his day off to accommodate me.
