The town we live in has several car dealerships, all owned by the same group! The local dealerships reputation are not very positive. I appreciated the time that was taken to work with us as we looked at several cars and asked many questions. The fact that we could get answers from knowledgeable people was priceless! I have been trying to get friends to make the drive to work with them as they not only have a great sales staff but their service department was also knowledgeable and kind. More

2nd Lease! I have leased with Romano Mazda since 2014. The first time I leased, I worked with Jon Rybak (and many other wonderful people). 3 years ago, I was in a very tough spot personally, but Jon and Romano Mazda worked with me every step of the way. Everything was always outlined for me and I always felt comfortable contacting someone if I had a question. Fast forward 3 years later to this past May...I moved out of state to Rhode Island last year and realized that my lease would be up in about 1 year. I contacted Jon to see if it was possible to lease from Romano Mazda again--I wasn't sure if I could because I no longer lived in New York. Even though he and other associates had to jump through hoops to get approval for an Out of State Transfer and different items ready...they were able to do it! They kept me informed every single step of the way--which is something I appreciated very much. I always knew the status of my new lease. I was able to drop off my first lease and pick up my second lease with ease. With the help of Romano Mazda, the tedious paperwork and phone calls were already taken care of--I simply had to register my car in Rhode Island. Needless to say, my experiences with Romano Mazda have been excellent. I found that this dealership is full of genuine employees who truly care about their customers. They went above and beyond! They took time out of their day and communicated with me after work hours to answer questions and make me feel at ease during the whole process (it wasn't like I could drive up to Syracuse for an afternoon to discuss some of my questions or concerns!). I shopped around at other dealerships before Romano Mazda 3 years ago--and I don't want to go anywhere else. I don't know if I will move again in the future, but I know that if I'm within 10 hours, I'm going to work with Romano Mazda again and again and again! More

I started looking into Romano Mazda a few months back and have been in contact with Zak, a Sales Representative at the dealership. Day 1 when they 2017 models arrived, I received an email about the car. The next day, I drove off the lot with my brand new car. I was able to meet several different people there, I unfortunately don't remember everyones name though. Zak and the GM Steven were both great and helpful. Very very friendly staff overall! I can honestly say that because of my experience there, I will be returning for both my girlfriend's and mom's future cars. FYI: The question below about "bought/leased a vehicle and had one serviced", I only purchased a vehicle, I did not perform service. I primarily worked with Zak, but I did meet a Service Adviser who was very friendly though. More
Best experience buying a car I had a wonderful experience purchasing a vehicle at this dealership. I hate purchasing a new or used car. I am in sales as well and my past experienc I had a wonderful experience purchasing a vehicle at this dealership. I hate purchasing a new or used car. I am in sales as well and my past experiences in dealing with multiple salesman going back and forth with their manager drives me crazy. I was in a difficult situation with a vehicle that broke down and needed repair. Instead of repairing it I decided to purchase a year old car with low miles. I dealt with a gentleman named Nima. He made the buying experience the best my wife and I have ever had. He gave us several options for purchase and even suggested we could still fix our original vehicle that would have been fine. There was zero pressure. He called us back when we had questions and when he didn't know the answer he found out then called back. He was very professional and made our experience wonderful. My wife will need a new vehicle in the near future I will definitely go to RomanoMazda and ask for Nima. His manager Stephen was great to work with as well. This is how buying a car should be. Excellent. More
Sales Associate Fine - General Manager Steve Inappropriate! My rating is based solely on my experience with General Manager Steve I am in the market for a mid-size sedan. This is my first car purchase in 10 My rating is based solely on my experience with General Manager Steve I am in the market for a mid-size sedan. This is my first car purchase in 10 years. I had my mind set on a Camry, had some offers from one Toyota dealership, and was in talks with another, when I decided to give Mazda a try on Monday, October 17. I test drove a new 2016 M6 ($27, 140 - $3,000 in rebates) and a certified used 2016 M6 ($20,995). I explained that I originally had a budget of $18,000 for a used car, but the I loved the M6. Sales Associate Matt - did a great job of working with me - and I made it clear that I would go home to think about my options. I told him that I would not mind buying either of those cars if they could come down a bit on either car. This was when the regional manager Steve came in. As usual - someone who tried to use charm - and a rather overbearing tactic while talking to me - but not listening. He kept trying to get me to apply for the Mazda credit - although I repeatedly told him that I did not nor want to do so. After about 20 minutes of going around on the numbers - the left - telling Matt to have me fill out a credit application. Matt came back with one - and I told him that I was not doing that; I was satisfied with the terms of the loan I had gotten from my credit union. I did love the cars - but as I had been looking at the Camry - I had not done any serious comparison shopping on the Mazdas - which I know very little about - and I wanted more time to do some research. I explained this to Matt - who made it clear that both of those cars could be sold while I made up my mind. He suggested that I leave a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit on at least one of them to hold until the next day. I was leery - and repeatedly asked him if I would absolutely get my money back if I decided not to buy one of those cars. He assured me I would. I returned the next day wanting to test the stereo systems - which I did not have a chance to do the night before. I have a new phone and have no music on it. The new car has the 11 Bose speaker setup. Matt and I test drove the used car again while listening to Chuck Mangione and Sade and laughing and honestly talking. Then we sat in the new one doing the same. I was still undecided if only because I was so far away from my initial budget, BUT I loved the M6. I told him that I had never purchased a used care and had some concern about that - and I did love the moon roof of the new car, but the price..... I told him that I needed one more day to decide - but he wanted me to finish the conversation in the dealership. He repeatedly asked me what I wanted - and I said - if Steve the General Manager would come down $1,000 off either car, I would buy it tonight - but I just needed to do some comparative shopping to see what typical prices were like. If Romano had the best deals - I would buy from them - but if not - I would go elsewhere. I was frank with him at all points of our interactions. He went to talk to Steve - who then came into Matts office - and was quite rude and inappropriate - although - in a subdued manner. He made it clear that he could not make that deal and that he had looked at other cars for me. I thanked him and Matt for their time - and Matt for all that he had taught me about the cars. I was disappointed - but not angry. I told him that it is not problem - since I am was trying to save money, while they were trying to make money. What Steve did not get wast that I never said I would not buy either car - I said I needed to do my research. I had told Matt that I would make a decision the next day. But for some reason - they both needed me to make a decision THEN - which made me wonder if they new there were better options out there. I even told Steve that I would not buy elsewhere just to save a few hundred $$ because I liked his customer service, but if I could save a grand or so - I would go with that option. Well - Steve started in with the emotional manipulation and accusations. "Why would you do this to us?" Then - "Why would you waste your time and this man's time to then not buy a car." "For someone with all of these degrees, why are you so unreasonable." At that point - I became angry - I told him that I did not like the way he was talking to me, and it was best that I go. "You put a deposit on a car and we expected you to buy it!" I was done - I said - "What do you mean I put a deposit on it - I repeatedly asked Matt if I could get my money back if I did not buy the car. He assured me that it was just to hold it while I made up my mind! I will make sure to write about this experience on social media." He responded with "What, are you threatening me?" - That was my cue to leave! Something in his demeanor and those words were very unnerving to this woman! He told Matt to go get my check, but as I waited STEVE himself brought it to me with a snide comment - "Just to continue our good customer service - we did not even deposit your check" and he walked off. Talking to his back, I responded - "You had no RIGHT to deposit my check." Matt - I could tell was in an awkward situation. Again - I thanked him. He was still cordial to me - and I said - "I am sorry that you work for such an xxxxxxx," and I left. If Steve is the face of this dealership - no wonder their ratings are this low. He tried to used some strong-arm tactics against me and became attacking when I would not fold. He refuse to listen; no matter how much I told him that I just wanted to do some more research. I had not said no to the deal; HE said no, and then got upset when I graciously accepted his no. That made no sense to me. Buying a care is a process - it takes longer for some than for others. It is as simple as that. Matt did the job for which he is paid to do - I wanted to make sure I made an informed decision. Steve was the only person being unreasonable! More
