We went to Romain with the purpose of test driving a Subaru Outback and initially spoke with Tyler. We test drove a car and fell in love which is not surprising because we already owned a 2009 Forester Subaru Outback and initially spoke with Tyler. We ordered a 23 Subaru Outback thanks to Tyler’s knowledge of the Outback and love our choice! Tyler was kind, not pushy to seal a deal and thoroughly informative about the Outback, making our buying process non stressful and a positive buying experience. Thank you Tyler!! At first I had decided to wait to order my vehicle until the next week, but was so excited to get a Subaru I went back the next day and ordered my vehicle. The whole process from meeting my sales rep to completing the paperwork for my new 2023 Subaru Outback Premium was top-notch! Tyler was my sales rep and he was amazing; don’t forget to ask for him when going to Romain! More
I live in central Illinois, and I don't like buying cars. I have not had good experiences with dealerships in the past. I had priced new Subaru Foresters at all four central Illinois dealerships, and was n I have not had good experiences with dealerships in the past. I had priced new Subaru Foresters at all four central Illinois dealerships, and was not satisfied with the quotes I received. My daughter lives in Newburgh, IN, and I discovered Romain Subaru in Evansville is just a few miles from her home. I stopped in, and was immediately greeted by Tyler Emmett. He was very friendly and personable, and worked up an "out the door" quote for me, including the optional equipment I wanted. His quote was almost $2,500 less than any of the quotes I received from the dealers in Illinois for the same vehicle and options. I ordered the Forester, and Tyler told me that it would arrive in late September. I received a text from Tyler on August 1, with the VIN, so I could price insurance ahead of time. On September 12, I received another text from Tyler, letting me know that the Forester would be in either that day or the next. When I went in on the 14th, Tyler once again greeted me, and he was very thorough again, going over the warranties, including the optional ones, and the pricing details. When he and his supervisor went out to check my trade-in, they offered me more than the original quote! Tyler then took me to see Brian Travis to take care of the financial stuff. Brian was just as friendly and personable as Tyler. He went over the pricing step by step, and when all was said and done, I ended paying almost a thousand dollars less than what my "out the door" quote had been. Tyler and Travis both told me that the paperwork I needed to transfer my old plates to the Forester would be sent to me in two to four weeks. Tyler then spent almost an hour showing me the bells and whistles in the vehicle, which buttons did what, etc. One week later, the license transfer paper work arrived. Cheryl Snoke had prepared it and sent it to me way earlier than I expected. So far, I have only had great experiences with Romain Subaru. I hope my experiences with the service department will be just as great. Kudos to Tyler Emmett, Brian Travis, and Cheryl Snoke!! More
