Buyer Beware!! First of all I would like to let as many people know about how this establishment treats there customers after they purchase a used vehicle. Back in First of all I would like to let as many people know about how this establishment treats there customers after they purchase a used vehicle. Back in late January my wife and I purchased a 2008 Ford F-150. Exterior was better than you would expect for a 2008. I took this truck out for a short test drive and it ran great. The truck had 81,000 miles one it, which isn't that many miles for a truck this old. Well, my wife and I went ahead an purchased the truck. One week after taking possession of the vehicle I noticed a knocking in the motor after I had driven it over 30 minutes. So I took it back to Rod Baker Ford and they told me that they couldn't do anything for me. They claimed that the truck passed there inspection. So I went home and did some research on the internet and I had the truck put on a computer to find out the problem. The computer didn't come up with anything when the truck was cold. So I drove it around for about 30 minutes and then took it back to the mechanic that originally checked it on the computer. Well, surprising several issues popped up. The mechanic told me that this issues just doesn't pop up overnight. I did some research online and this issue is common for the Ford F-150 from 2004 to 2010. The faults only show up when the vehicle has been running for awhile. Well, I found out that this issue is a big project and expensive. The mechanic that diagnosed the problem said that there wasn't anyway that the dealership wouldn't have known about this and they found a sucker to take it off there hands. I posted a negative feedback on the Rod Bakers Facebook page and I got a response from the GM to contact him and when I did I got "He stepped out of the office" I left a message on his voicemail and I am still waiting for a response from him (been over two weeks). When I stopped by the dealership again I got that he was not in the office. We have lived in this area for 4 years and this purchase was the 2nd vehicle that we purchased from this dealership. We purchased a new Ford Fusion Hybrid and this F-150. I have never been treated by a dealership in my life the way I have at Rod Baker. I not talking in a positive way either. I will NEVER deal with this establishment again. I will take my business to Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood. I have already talked to them and they are so nice and they told me if I would've purchased a used vehicle from them I would never have the heartache that I am having dealing with Rod Baker Ford. Next time I will be smart and go with a better establishment. More
