My husband and I went in on a Sunday to trade in our 2001 Lincoln for a more economical and reliable car. We worked with a sales person (Roger) who was very nice to work with. We payed a little over $12,000 Lincoln for a more economical and reliable car. We worked with a sales person (Roger) who was very nice to work with. We payed a little over $12,000 cash for a 2007 Honda Accord with a $2500.00 trade in for the Lincoln. In less than a week we discovered an oil leak. Took it to OUR RELIABLE mechanic and discovered that the engine was NOT the original engine and that the oil leak was from a gouge in the metal chasis on the engine. Someone tried to plug the leak with silicone on the inside. Over all we wound up having to replace the engine for another $2500.00. When I called and spoke with the manager at Rockys(before we discovered it needed a new engine)he explained that I could bring it back and they would check it out but that they would not re-imburse OUR mechanic. I explained that after all we've discovered, that we did not trust their mechanics any longer and wanted OUR mechanic to fix it and would supply a complete list of what was needed. He again explained that they would not re-imburse our mechanic but if we wanted them to check it out they would do that. NOT GOOD! We have gotten around 3-4 cars from Rockies without a problem. We are very disapointed in the way this one went. More

Here's the thing, Used car dealers are Used car dealers. They all are in it to make a buck and that's fine. I know they have ways to make their money, so I'm ok with that. I didn't like a few things about They all are in it to make a buck and that's fine. I know they have ways to make their money, so I'm ok with that. I didn't like a few things about Rocky's and for those reasons, I will not go back. First, the prices are ridiculous. Not trying to be superfluous. Case in point, 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with 174,000 miles is listed at Rocky's for $7995. Kelly Blue book is $5500-ish. The car was ticking really loud (maybe a lifter or valve) and the A/C didn't work. Went to a different dealer in Parker and saw a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with 160,000 miles listed at $5495. No ticking, A/C worked great. Rocky's over lists their prices so they get more out of you. Best advice, know the value of the car before you go and show them the actual value. The Rocky's price is not the real value. Second, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR E-MAIL!!!!! within a week after visiting and giving them our e-mail, we are now inundated with spam! I know what you're thinking, probably some place else. No. I am insanely careful about who I give my e-mail to. I generally use a fake or dumby e-mail account to sign up at most websites and have a designated junk mail address I use for every other case I need to give an address. I did not receive spam on my main address. I unfortunately wasn't thinking when I filled out their form and gave them my real e-mail address. Yes that was my fault. But now we are getting spammed like I can't believe. Even my wife noticed the pick up in spam and said (without my commenting) that it had to be from Rocky's. I could be wrong, I am aware of that. But man, I wouldn't give them my e-mail if I were you. Generally the people are really nice. They do walk you around, but they have their pre-planned sales strategy and you are not allowed to deviate from their strategy. My wife prefers to look around, get some numbers, and get a feel for what she can afford before she drives anything. You cannot do that at Rockys. You have to drive before you can talk numbers and then they assume you are buying that car. The went so far as to put a "Sold" sign on the one we tested even though we were not going to buy it. Even though they say it's no pressure, it is very high pressure to buy today. We mentioned that we didn't have the down payment right away which is a standard tactic we use to avoid the super high pressure "BUY IT NOW" feeling dealers give you. The salesman asked at least 4 times if we could get the down payment today. Even the "manager" asked are you sure you couldn't get it today? As he was telling us "we are a no pressure dealership" and trying to pressure us to buy that car right then. Rocky's isn't a bad place. It's pretty typical of used car sales. Just have your strategy planned ahead of time or you will end up with a car that cost too much and a payment you don't like before you even realize what happened. More
Don't think, for one second, no matter what Tom Martino says, that Rocky's is any different from any other used car dealer. The 2003 Saturn Vue they sold us was originally marked at 11,000 dollars, but thr says, that Rocky's is any different from any other used car dealer. The 2003 Saturn Vue they sold us was originally marked at 11,000 dollars, but through their "Red-Tag Sale" and "Matching Down Payment Incentive" they were able to bring the price down to 8,000 dollars (that price is only about a thousand dollars over KBB Dealer price for that vehicle in EXCELLENT condition, which it was not!) Our salesperson, Heath, said we would need to pay $500 more in our down payment than we had specified we could pay, to which we told him that we needed that money for taxes, title, etc. Heath told us not to worry, because Rocky's pays ALL of those fees. When the paperwork to go get our plates came in the mail, the DMV was requiring $438 MORE in taxes that Rocky's DID NOT PAY. After that, we had a meeting with our salesman and HIS boss, in which he denied saying Rocky's WOULD pay. Rocky's would NOT honor the original deal. Be aware! Rocky's Autos does the EXACT SAME DISHONEST, CLICHED THINGS THAT OTHER USED CAR DEALERS DO! (I tried to post a review of my experience to Tom Martino's Referral List, but, I guess, since Rocky's is a major sponsor, they won't post bad reviews, lol) More
Again I want to warn you about Rocky's Auto's I think they are worse than an average used car dealership. It has been three years since I bought my car from Rock's . It was mostly my fault I believed in they are worse than an average used car dealership. It has been three years since I bought my car from Rock's . It was mostly my fault I believed in there ads on TV and Radio that there cars were very clean and a good price. I am very dumb about cars. Please do not buy from them. They aren't that good of cars.I had to spend $1,000 extra to fix. There was so much arguments with Rocky's that I used my own money. It was terrible and it was a car for my son's 16th birthday. So this is an anniversary of this terrible buy. Don't listen to all the commercials . Please don't buy from Rock's Auto's. You can find a better car some where else. Do your home work I did not. More
