Hello Katie, I would also like to preface this response with our apologies for any confusion on the deal. Your review, however, is riddled with inaccuracies that I would like to clear up. First, I will agree that the salesperson did make a clerical error in his paperwork and did in fact have the wrong stock number. Your husband drove two different vehicles and the initial vehicle was kept by mistake on the paperwork. There were only two vehicles involved, not three as your review states ie two different vehicles and the third in which he intended to purchase. The only paperwork that was signed was the initial offer sheet as well as preliminary paperwork in regards to credit, references, ect ect. The deal did not move past that point and there were no legal documents of ownership signed. The proposal sheet had the correct numbers for that vehicle in which the deal was worked. It was simply the first vehicle driven, not the second which was the vehicle your husband decided to move forward on. The salesperson had started less than a week prior to your husband's arrival. The matter was dealt with internally and coaching was given. Secondly, as to the comment that the price of the vehicle your husband was trying to purchase was $7k more expensive is completely false. The vehicle your husband had wished to move forward on was $3780 more expensive than the one he initially drove. Your husband was given correct prices prior to both test drives. Upon the initial proposal, your husband also made no mention of the difference in price but was aware of the clerical error yet said nothing. The mistake was actually caught by the sales manager not your husband again as your review states. We believe he did in fact know and was simply looking to get a better deal. We do not blame him for this but again, was not an ethical thing to do. Taking advantage of a younger, novice salesperson is not morally acceptable. I would also like to state that we had attempted to rectify the $3780 difference in price by increasing your husband's trade value by $2500 as a remedy. We did this in good faith as we acknowledged the clerical error and made every attempt to make your husband happy. As it was above stated, your husband knew of the price discrepancy and was simply wanting a better deal. We gave him a much better deal but that was not enough. We bent over backwards to rectify the mistake that was quite literally a clerical error and your husband knew that. Thirdly, as to the level of disrespect that was allegedly given to your husband, that was also false. It seems that the story your husband gave you was completely slanted as the facts are skewed. Your husband was the culprit in the matter and went to the extent of not only willingly staying here for the 8 hours but also being a menace for over half that time. After every attempt to rectify the mistake, your husband insisted on continuing to pester not only the sales person about the matter but also the sales manager. After your husband called the "owner's son", who happens to be the General Manager an "F-''ing" expletive that starts with "C" and ends with "T", he was asked to leave. He yelled in the showroom full of customers and continued to harass the customers that were present by slandering the dealership and telling them to leave. He told our salespeople to quit and work elsewhere. This, again, was after we had attempted to rectify the mistake and could not appease your husband any longer. He also had the audacity to try and jerk the documents out of the General Manager's hand that had allowed us to pull credit. We had told your husband that we are legally obligated to keep such documents on file as it is a requirement to show proof that we had permission to pull credit. At that time, your husband was the party that exerted force in an attempt to procure those documents, not the other way around. Again, Katie, we wholeheartedly apologize for the initial miscommunication and clerical error but the information that was given to you is completely false. We respectfully ask for this review to be removed as it does not paint your husband nor our dealership in a good light. That being said, a clerical error was made by a novice salesperson which did not warrant the lack of professionalism nor the aggression that was directed to us and our customers by your husband.
