We made many mistakes when buying a car from Rocky Mountain Auto. 1) we fell for the Exogloss warranty “pitch” when our salesperson told us it was required and when we later asked for a refund, we we Mountain Auto. 1) we fell for the Exogloss warranty “pitch” when our salesperson told us it was required and when we later asked for a refund, we were told no as it’s a product already on the car? 2) we did not have the car inspected by our mechanic before purchase (we trusted the pre-inspection by the dealership) 3) car broke down about 3 weeks after purchase! Needed a new engine!! 4) we came to an agreement with service manager to pay 1/3 of parts/labor (thousands of dollars!!) During the 4 months of waiting for car to get repaired we picked it up Twice when they said it was done, it was leaking oil and we had to bring it back. When they said it needed a transmission we assumed it was going to be a new one but later found out it was used. 5) we lost thousands of dollars when we decided to accept buy back offer because we no longer trusted dealership/mechanic to fix the car. 6) we did not read any reviews of dealership prior to purchasing our car (Yelp, BBB, dealer rater, Facebook) 7) I hope you learn from our mistakes when buying your next car! Absolutely atrocious bait and switch tactics. Austin the salesman was fantastic and even tried to fight for us as he knew what we were presented in finance was not what was agreed on. The agreed upon salesman was fantastic and even tried to fight for us as he knew what we were presented in finance was not what was agreed on. The agreed upon finance price went up 3K from what was agreed upon at the negotiation table. Stay away from the dealership, if I could give 0 stars I would have. I buy vehicles quite often and this management and finance personnel were, undoubtedly, the worse I’ve ever experienced. Austin if you read this, I encourage you to find somewhere else to work. You’re values do not seem to line up with those of the business you work for. More
