This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. They are inexperienced, rude, ignorant and lack any sort of customer service etiquette. One of the owners could not even speak English and was difficult to understand and he had difficulty understanding me. Not to mention was very rude!! Quite frankly I am surprised they are still in business after reading all the negative remarks. If you buy a Hyundai...dont get it from Hyundai of Rockland because then you will be stuck with ignorant behavior. More

We purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe from this dealership and had a decent experience and deal. Shortly afterwards, it became a service nightmare due to the integrity of this dealership. They are down-right di had a decent experience and deal. Shortly afterwards, it became a service nightmare due to the integrity of this dealership. They are down-right dishonest and misleading. offering a great service package and then attempting to make money by lying to customers. Our headlight headlamps have been replaced over 4 times in the past year. These headlamps are supposed to be functional for numerous years and normally for the life of the car. They have clearly been causing problems and not conducting services properly. Because we got a good deal previously, we also attempted to negotiate for a 2011 Sonata. The salesperson, Michael Toone, was not conducive to a fair and respective sales environment. He was unwilling to negotiate because he felt "jipped" on his previous deal and simply did not understand the bargaining process. That day he lost a customer and was a bad reflection upon Hyundai. Our experience with Hyundai of Nanuet went from great, to highly disappointing.... More

I called on the morning of the p/u and wanted to know for certain how much the bank check needed to be as I was paying cash. Carl told me that "because of the way the deal was structured" I would need to make the check for $750 more than we agreed upon telling me it was the destination charge. What a crock. I had gotten the same deal in Westchester on the silver Genesis (the color I really wanted)but felt obligated to buy the Blue one from Nanuet because I had left a deposit then they screwed me. I got my deposit back but was too late to get the Silver one in westchester as it was already sold. I ended up getting a Silver Honda Accord EXL. Maybe someday with Hyundai again but never with these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
Dealership is run by a bunch of unhelpful, rude, people with no knowledge. At both of their locations, people portray the same traits - Absolutely no training is evident in any of the employees in sales or with no knowledge. At both of their locations, people portray the same traits - Absolutely no training is evident in any of the employees in sales or service. This dealership has caused me much grief, frustration, and anger over the past few months (since I bought the car). This is a dealership you do not want to have to deal with. At the time of the sale, I was told I would receive 2 years/24,000 mile free oil changes and tire rotations. Upon bringing the car in for service, the woman behind the desk asked me for my maintenance card. When I bought the car, and asked the salesman how they would verify my free oil changes, he said that it would be in the computer system for them to see, and he wrote it on the bill - Never received any service card. As I found out, he also never input my 2 year/24,000 mile oil change/tire rotation information into the computer. The woman in service refused to go on with the free oil change/rotation without seeing the maintenance card. After numerous calls to people who pointed the finger, and five hours later, they issued me a maintenance card, months after I purchased the car. Also had me sign the maintenance (free oil change/rotation) contract, months after I bought the car. Overall, a very sloppy dealership that hassles it's customers - Not worth the anger and frustration...Go somewhere else. More
The Sales Experience was excellent. They offered the newspaper advertisment with no nonsense...What was in the paper was what I got. They didn't try to switch me or lie to me like most other dealers. Pl newspaper advertisment with no nonsense...What was in the paper was what I got. They didn't try to switch me or lie to me like most other dealers. Plus everyone treated me very nicely. The salesman Sal went over the entire car and made sure I understood everything. The sales Manager Benny gave me a Free Ipod Cable so I could enjoy my music. All around a great experience. More
I was shopping for cars for about a month and a half just recently. I went to a number of dealerships and being a young guy 23 i expected to be messed with or conned. At most of the dealerships I went to I recently. I went to a number of dealerships and being a young guy 23 i expected to be messed with or conned. At most of the dealerships I went to I went interested in a particular vehicle I knew was in my price range which was about 20,000 to as high as 25,000 maximum. About 2 weeks ago I was on my way back from test driving a mazda 3 over in elmsford westchester. I had some time so i thought I might look at another dealership, I was interested in Hyundai but hadn't really gotten my facts straight on what model I was interested. I found Hyundai in Nanuet and pulled in and began to work with a guy named Terrence. He seemed like an alright guy and told me he was new to the position. On his recommendation I test drove the hyundai sonata i liked it but i wasn't crazy about it. but there was a 3500 rebate on it because my mother owns a sante fe. I left the dealership and did some research about different hyundai models. I got interested in the Hyundai Azera GLS 2009 it was right at the limit of my price range so I knew I'd have to get a good price on it. I called Terrence to see if they had any in for me to test drive his first lie was saying yes. When I get there all the have is the Hyundai Azera Limited. The price says about 30,000 or more so I was hesitant to test drive it and asked if he had anything I hadn't seen I might be interested in. He basically said no besides the sonata. So I asked what is different. He told me the chrome trims and the leather seats and a few other luxury items. I asked about the engine he says it is the same. So we go for a test drive and I love the car its a V6 3.8 L 260HP and smooth. But I know it is out of my price range so i didn't get to excited. We go back into the dealership and sit down I tell him I am very interested in test driving a Azera GLS he asks what color I said black. He locates one in Paramus NJ. Now this is my first time buying a new car so from here I made a few mistakes but was really taken advantage of. He tells me they can ship it to Nanuet for me to test drive it but they need to know I'm serious. The price they give me is like 24,000 and change so i am ecstatic. I put 500 down on the car with a verbal agreement that if I test drive it and don't like it I get my 500 back. I give him my credit card, he comes back a few minutes later and says he made a mistake, the engine on the GLS is smaller the HP on the car drops from 260 to like 223. I forget what I asked him but every time I asked him a question he goes to talk to his manager for a few minutes comes back and the question never gets answered. Now the price on the GLS they gave me is still decent its a little under the MSRP I looked at online. So I sign the receipt and through a series of con artist type moves I walk out of there with 500 down on a car that I haven't seen, and the way it ended I needed to go to Paramus to test drive it. This was a Saturday i left there on saturday with my head spinning and the next day easter sunday i was just in a horrible mood I knew I'd been worked. Now Monday the next group of bull. I went in there basically to get my money back I'm no longer interested in looking at the GLS. Terrence who was working that day must have ducked out the back. They tell me I have to speak to the finance guy Peter. I'm waiting for 10 minutes before some guy comes in and starts asking what I'm there for. I ask are you Peter he says no and he goes away. He comes back and asks me to explain the whole situation, I do, and he guaruntees my money back. I wait another 15 minutes. He starts telling me that the dealership is real sorry and wants to make it up to me. They want to offer me a Hyundai Azera 2009 Limited and he slips in the word Demo. I ask what Demo means and he says somebody from the dealership has been driving it to and from work. I ask how many miles are on it he says under 3,000. I look at the car and go straight to look at the mileage there is over 5,000 miles on the car. I tell them what i see and go back inside, I was there for about another 20 minutes with them coming up with new sales pitches for different cars before I finally got my refund receit and got out of there. It was a horrible experience for me, I'm glad I managed to get my money back from them. I would not recommend doing business with them and if there was anything I could do to keep them from doing that to somebody else I would like to know More
Do your research before buying anything from this dealership. The general manager is very rude to customers. I had my car serviced there for a major trasmission malfunction(determined to be a Hyundai malfunction by the way) which I had to fight to get covered under warranty. When I got my car back, it had a huge dent in the driver's side, and the transmission was never fixed. I had to take it to another mechanic to correct the damage that this dealership did. The GM, Wesley Mancias will not make any attempt to make this situation right, even after I complained to corporate about him. Don't support a dealership like this...they are dishonest. More
