Very Knowledgable, Friendly, and Fair! i had major back surgery 4 months ago, and my car was too low, and I needed AWD. The Tucson had the most comfortable seat of all makes and models. I went to other Hyundai dealers, but Rockland Hyundai offered the best price, cared the most about my needs, and didn't try to nickel and dime me over small extras that the vehicle I wanted came with. I am recommending this dealership to everyone I know. I left there today with a beautiful Tuscon, radio programmed, phone set up, and full knowledge of how to use it. No one ever rushed me. Started Good and Ending Badly I originally went to this dealership with my dad last month because they advertised some kind of used car sale on their website. Ended up not interest I originally went to this dealership with my dad last month because they advertised some kind of used car sale on their website. Ended up not interested in any of the used cars but returned the week after to lease a new vehicle from them, as we met Gervais who was very informative and helpful. I live in NJ but literally went to this dealership in upstate NY just for this salesperson. I feel that I got a reasonable deal and am pleased with the vehicle Gervais recommended (not what I initially wanted). It's now been a month and the temp plates and registration expire today, and I have not gotten my permanent documents in time, despite my calling to follow up for the last 2 weeks leading up to today. I finally called the DMV myself today and they have NO RECORD of this vehicle under my license number. I let the dealership know and am met with avoidance and incompetence (they supposedly went to DMV in person TODAY and applied for the permanent documents after I told them what the DMV told me). I understand that they are a NY dealer and may not be familiar with the process but my frustration is due to the LACK of communication. I rather hear the issues upfront so I know where we're at instead of being ignored or told they don't know (is that even possible?).The DMV heard my story and told me to seek legal action ASAP, lol. So now the vehicle is not drivable until who knows when. I requested a loaner (which is reasonable) and the manager (Fausto) told me (without even checking) they don't have any available. When I ask when the next one might be available, he "thinks Monday...next Monday". Overall, I would give Gervais 4 stars and whoever is working the paper in the back end (and the dealer who should be overseeing) 0. More
