WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! This Dealership is full of scam artists, swindlers and thieves. Never in my life have I ever felt the need to write a review for any business but I fe This Dealership is full of scam artists, swindlers and thieves. Never in my life have I ever felt the need to write a review for any business but I feel like I owe it to my Lompoc community to warn them about ever trying to purchase a vehicle from the rocket town dealership. I had already been pre approved on a lone for a vehicle on there lot through my own finance company. So when I went I was confident in knowing what to expect. I had even included for 10% for taxes, DMV license and registration fees, their doc fees and GAP. Yet rocket town turned what would have been an other wise fast and pleasurable experience into the absolute worst. I left with a very sour taste in my mouth knowing that they tried to take advantage of me. I asked the salesman multiple times what the out the door price would be and he would immediately change the subject and wanted to know what monthly payments I could do. Then when we started talking numbers they added an extra 500 to the sales price by now my Spidey sense was tingling but I kept negotiating. They came at me with an offer that was $90 more a month then the offer I had gotten through my own finance company which also added an additional $6,480 to the total cost. Not to mention my $3,000 down payment wasn’t even subtracted from the price. When I asked the salesman why so much all he said was I'm not the number guy I'm just the salesman and he kept bringing me this four square sheet where the number guy who was standing to the side but wouldn't bother to talk to us was just writing down numbers trying to see how much they can get out of me. When I asked to see the real numbers of cost and fees he avoided the question. I asked him one more time and he again acted like he didn’t hear me. So I just got up and said thank you but I will be taking my business somewhere else and walked away. If you don’t mind being taken advantage of and paying more for your vehicle just for these scam artists can swindle you out of your hard earned money then go ahead but I refuse to pay a $10,000 mark up because this dealership thinks lompocians are naive.
