Dear Sir, I am truly sorry if you feel slighted in any way. We want nothing more than for our customers to feel excited and happy about purchasing a vehicle from Robin Ford... it's a shame you feel that your experience was tainted in any way. I'm not sure why you feel slighted as we not only changed your oil for free, but we also offered you a free rental car for the weekend. What you're not mentioning in this review is that you stormed into the dealership showroom at 9am on Saturday morning with a chip on your shoulder and caused a scene in the showroom. We were more than happy to accomodate you, however you were the one who raised his voice and treated our employees, including me, disrespectfully and in a condescending manner. Nobody deserves to be berated in the way you berated me and other Robin Ford employees this morning. You are free to feel the way you do about me or this dealership, however, in the future, if you are going to treat me (and our staff) the way you did today, we no longer want your business. This vehicle, a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, was purchased almost 2 months ago. There were no problems at the time of sale or for the next 60 days. The federal “Buyers Guide” warning sticker on the window clearly stated that the vehicle was being purchased “AS IS-NO WARRANTY”. All dealers are required to place the federally mandated “Buyers Guide” in the window of every used vehicle for sale in the U.S. This alerts the buyer that the vehicle is being purchased in the current condition and the buyer would be responsible for any and all future repairs. Robin Ford sells these low priced vehicles to meet a need for inexpensive transportation in our market area. If these vehicles were reconditioned and had a guarantee they would cost significantly more to purchase. This sales process is the same as buying a used vehicle from someone who is not a Dealer, that is, from a Craig’s list ad or from a friend or neighbor. No one would expect to receive a guarantee under those circumstances. In addition to the “AS IS-NO WARRANTY sticker in the window, the bill of sale also clearly stated and the buyer signed that this sale was being done without a warranty. THIS MOTOR VEHICLE IS SOLD “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, THE PURCHASER WILL BEAR THE ENTIRE EXPENSE OF REPAIRING OR CORRECTING ANY DEFECT THAT PRESENTLY EXISTS OR THAT MAY OCCUR IN THE VEHICLE.
