Took my truck in for running boards and the ones that came in weren’t the right ones. They got the right ones there within 45 minutes and had them on in about a half hour. I went in for a recall and oil change/tire rotation. No assistance in the drive-in bay area, then a long wait before an advisor acknowledged me to check-in my car. We waited in their waiting area with my toddler the duration of my visit. After my vehicle was completed and parked outside the service area, the advisors continued assisting other people who came in for an additional 20 mins. For each of those customers, the advisors checked them out and brought their vehicle to the doors. After paying more than I was quoted, I was simply given my keys and paperwork. No feedback regarding any issues the technician noted during the inspection. Absolutely the worst experience at a GM Dealership. More
Took truck in for maintenance on a brand new 2021 GMC Canyon for ticking noise. After one week passed I was told it was a lifter problem and quoted it would take around a week. After a week passed I was Canyon for ticking noise. After one week passed I was told it was a lifter problem and quoted it would take around a week. After a week passed I was told a tool broke that they use for maintenance and they had to get one delivered so that pushed me getting my truck back another week. After the day they said it was going to be done after getting the tool they told me ANOTHER problem saying they need to order gaskets in order to finish, so they push off on having my truck fixed another week, so 3 weeks go by of not having the tools and supplies needed to get it done when I was told it would just take one week. Dealership only called me once throughout the whole process which made me have to call for a check up on how close they were to finishing each week. Ended up being 4 weeks (1 day before a full month) of me not having my truck because of bad communication and bad maintenance service. I would assume if a lifter problem occurs maybe change the oil after it being completely fixed but I’m not the expert. I had to ask if they had a loaner car instead of them offering since the process took literally about a month. Truck sounds fine but will not take it here again. ** did not buy the truck here but did take it here for my first-year maintenance visit and whenever I bought the truck I heard ticking noise but I thought it was normal since it’s a brand new truck but apparently that is not normal. So it was ticking when I took it in the first-year maintenance visit and they told me everything was fine. So the ticking noise was “fine” until I pointed it out later when I brought it back. So I feel I was lied to since I know it didn’t start ticking after the first year maintenance visit but before that. More
