This is the third car that I have purchased from Robbins Toyota - Scion. The staff have always been courteous and easy to work with. We were sold on a used car until my husband spoke with the finance department. My husband felt like he'd been talked down to. Our credit union offers unmatchable financing on both rates and terms. I did go by and discuss this with the sales people and the finance guy and they apologized for any misunderstanding. But I was told that the terms I mentioned were unheard of. So my husband was willing to continue discussing the purchase with them. While we were looking at the vehicle he found a seal that looked like it had an issue. They had their service department look at the seal and we were told it needed to be replaced and we would have to pay to have it replaced. Needless to say this cost them a sale. We hadn't even purchased the vehicle yet we were going to have to pay to have a repair made that occurred before it was purchased. I think not! Robbins has lost us for this sale and any future sales. We are more than willing to drive elsewhere for better service and a dealer that will repair a vehicle before it's sold. More
Im not sure how these guys rank as a dealer for buying a new car, but their service department stinks to high heaven. Not only were they rude and told me they couldn't help me with a "routine" maintenance new car, but their service department stinks to high heaven. Not only were they rude and told me they couldn't help me with a "routine" maintenance because they were too busy, they more than doubled the previous estimate!! All this after I took off a day of work to come in for this! I called the Toyota dealership in Mt. Pleasant and they did everything I needed to get done that very day included replacing my battery and a COMPLIMENTARY detailing! FOR HALF THE PRICE of what Robbins estimated me...Im done with these guys even if I have to drive the extra distance to Mt. Pleasant. More
