The Rivertown Subaru service manager told me it would be 20 minutes (if not less) to program the new Ascent remote. 25 minutes later, I asked how much longer. They hadn’t even started on it (the work ord be 20 minutes (if not less) to program the new Ascent remote. 25 minutes later, I asked how much longer. They hadn’t even started on it (the work order was still on the wall of the entrance bay). Another 25 minutes passed and still was waiting! Total wait time was around an hour. Very frustrating. The service department also told me I would have to bring the car into the shop before they could tell me if they have the parts for recalls. Too much trouble to drive 40 minutes each way just to see if they have to order the parts. More

Good timing and good communication resulted in a good deal. They found me the car I wanted instead of trying to get me to accept one of the cars they had on the lot.
