Car with 47K miles with a phantom misfire. No check engine light. Dealers response following diagnosis of multiple cylinder misfires was to change plugs, wires, coil packs and other things for $1900. Multiple cylinder misfires would indeed be followed by check engine light and a computer code. Kept car for two days. I do not trust dealerships to be fair and trustworthy. My parents had there 2014 ford fusion towed in because of oil leak. The driveway had a huge puddle of oil on the concrete under the area of the oil pan. The report reads that the oil filter was not tight. It oil leak. The driveway had a huge puddle of oil on the concrete under the area of the oil pan. The report reads that the oil filter was not tight. It also states that the valve cover gasket was leaking. I know that the oil filter and valve cover gasket will not leak unless the car is running. I believe that the oil plug was not tightened during the last oil change causing it to leak when sitting still. My parents are in there 80's. The total price was not discussed with my parents. They only told my mom a gasket needed to be repaired. In all they had a bill of 500 and something in repair. My shop always discuss the price with me before a job is done on my truck or car. I am never shocked about the price when I pick my vehicle up from repair. The sad part of this is that they don't care. Please don't reply back with the with the automatic reply that everyone receives....just a different service manager name add to them. More
