Too often it seems that people report on negative customer service experiences, but fail to adequately praise the positive ones. I recently had such a positive experience with Mike Hamill in the serv customer service experiences, but fail to adequately praise the positive ones. I recently had such a positive experience with Mike Hamill in the service department. Mike went above and beyond what other managers typically do to correct my issues. I had some minor problems with a certified Toyota I purchased there a year earlier, and he stood behind the car to make things right. Thanks, Mike, for taking a bad experience initially and eventually turning it into a positive one. You make Riverhead Toyota a better dealership! More
I am still awaiting a response on my 2008 FJ Cruiser tire cover. The tire cover elastic is defective in that every time I go through a car wash, the tire cover gets sucked off the vehicle and damaged. This i cover. This is a major inconvenience and never happened with my Isuzu SUV with a tire cover???! Mike Hamill is handling this for me?! The reception person who answers the Dealer main phone line, needs work. She is quick to transfer you before letting you finish your sentence. Also, not very helpful. More
This dealership goes out of their way to please customers. Internet service is prompt and responsive. After emailing and scheduling an appointment to take a look at a new 2009 Matrix, I arrived at customers. Internet service is prompt and responsive. After emailing and scheduling an appointment to take a look at a new 2009 Matrix, I arrived at dealership with "my" car waiting and one with my 2nd choice color next to it. Very nice touch - especially after having dealt with two other well known Toyo dealers in mid Suffolk who were impatient and questioned why I wished to purchase a stick shift! The Salesman I had was great. Service appointments are on time; they are followed up with either internet message or phone calls to make sure everything was done right. Only room for improvement is Service area which needs designated parking lots. This dealership is wonderful (despite the Toyota recalls). More
I have been a customer of this dealership since June 2004 and I have to say that the customer service is by far the best on Long Island. The friendly atmosphere and the no pressure to do unnecessary work is and I have to say that the customer service is by far the best on Long Island. The friendly atmosphere and the no pressure to do unnecessary work is a pleasure. Usually my vehicle is in the bay in less than 30 minutes upon my arrival and ticket write up. That's fantastic! More

It was a pleasurable, no-pressure, no-hassle, experience buying our 2005 Toyota Sienna from our salesperson Ian, who couldn't have been any better. However, the service department leaves something to be desired. I have routinely had our car serviced there. Most times, they were good to very accomodating (even loaning me a Prius to drive while mine was being serviced), on my last visit for a regularly scheduled mainenance, their work on my cars brakes was not satisfying. Driving the car home, I noticed a very distinct "wobble" in the steering wheel whenever I braked. I got home and made another appointment to have them correct this. So I drove from Montauk back up to Riverhead. They said they couldn't find anything wrong with their work. The car continued to have this problem until I braked hard one day, which seemingly fixed the brake problem. So my rating is based on mostly on my experience with their service department. More
