First I want to say that this is a retraction from a previous review that I removed after the Dealerships immediate response. I originally brought my Prius to Riverhead Toyota with a 12 volt battery pro previous review that I removed after the Dealerships immediate response. I originally brought my Prius to Riverhead Toyota with a 12 volt battery problem that in all fairness was installed by another out of state dealership. After speaking with the Service Department Manager Mike Hamill about my issue, Mike decided to give me a new replacement battery even though he knew he would not be reimbursed by Toyota Corporate. That's right THEY ATE THE COST !!!How often do you hear of that happening ??? This gesture on Mike's part immediately changed my bad feeling about the dealership that I had grown to love before this issue. They once again have a very satisfied customer that will be returning for service ,parts and a new Prius in the future. After all don't we all just want to be appreciated and treated fairly as loyal customers ??? Mike made it right and I appreciate his efforts. Thank you Mike for being a gentleman and appreciating your customers. Not EVERYONE does. More

Toyota said problem was I need a new "brake master" and cost was over $2000. I then took it to Toyota Sunrise which correctly diagnosed the problem and charged me $1000 which consisted of replacing the newly installed clock spring and fixing some wires. More
caught in a lie went in to Riverhead Toyota for an oil change and a tire rotation on July 10th. I had an appointment for 9:30 I arrived at 9:20. The service advisor went in to Riverhead Toyota for an oil change and a tire rotation on July 10th. I had an appointment for 9:30 I arrived at 9:20. The service advisor who I have nothing bad to say about was Peter Coscia. So approximately 2 hours after bringing my Tundra in I see the mechanic bringing my vehicle around front and parking it. I walk out side and say to him I guess you were able to find the wheel locks in the glove compartment, and those tires must be heavy? He stated to me " Yes I found the wheel locks and the tires are heavy. I only lifted the truck a little bit off the ground so it was easy to rotate the tires." I then walked over to the truck and could clearly see the tires were not rotated. I immediately spoke to Peter the service advisor and showed him my tires. Peter walked inside they asked the mechanic who said to them he rotated the tires so then they went to the video because every bay is video taped. Peter said to me we checked the video and he never rotated the tires. they took the vehicle back in and rotated the tires ., I told him I should not be paying for this and they hand me a free car wash ticket for the next time I come in. first of all every other toyota dealership always washes the car with any service. I leave and call Toyota corporate and file an official complaint. They told me the manager from Riverhead would call me today Friday July 10th. I didn't want to write a review until I spoke to them and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well today is Tuesday July 14th and I have not received one call from them but did receive a email to rate my experience as well as a text message that ask how my service was. I replied to the text "Did not have a good experience" again no reply. So here is my review More
Service is horrible. Waiting time unacceptable. I'm sorry I called during pandemic for minor service maintenance, but the person who answered the phone told me to come the next day. No explanation o I'm sorry I called during pandemic for minor service maintenance, but the person who answered the phone told me to come the next day. No explanation of procedure was given. Upon arriving at the closed and locked service doors, other customers were milling around not knowing what to do. I guess I was suppose to read some half fallen off notice taped to the window about leaving my keys in the night drop box. A employee finally walked out with no mask or gloves with I guess paperwork for a waiting customer outside. Mind you there is no place to shelter, as the building is locked down. Mike and another service advisor came out, but were useless. All they said was we didn't expect so many customers. Yeah, but who made all the appointments? Suggestion, just deal with emergency, and not accept minor maintenance. In the seem of the pandemic why risk the employees and the public to any more risk. More
Worst experience with Toyota EVER I have been a loyal customer at RH Toyota for 15 years and over the last 5 years, the customer service has gotten awful. I will not be returning to t I have been a loyal customer at RH Toyota for 15 years and over the last 5 years, the customer service has gotten awful. I will not be returning to this dealership!!! I was shocked at my last experience....I even emailed the service relations manager and left 2 phone messages and she NEVER got back to me!?!? The water pulley pump BROKE off of the water pump while I was driving my 2016 Highlander (less then 50,000) on the highway! Luckily I made it to a gas station (it was 8 pm) and I had to leave the car there overnight. It was towed to Toyota the next morning and from the minute it arrived, it was a downward spiral. I know it was a freak situation that the water pump broke off, crazy things happen I know, BUT they way I was treated was totally insane. No phone calls back, no offer of a loaner car until the 3rd day it was at the dealership and a HUGE argument over what was under warranty and what wasn't. I still can't believe their focus was on the bill when my focus was on the fact that the water pump broke off of a 3 year old car with less then 50k miles while I was driving on the highway!! Not once, did one single person at this dealership apologize or express concern. More
Don't bother getting service here Appointments do not matter here. Your time is of no value to them. Made an appointment for an oil change and was left waiting for over an hour, I walked outside to get some fresh air and see my car sitting in the lot. I asked what the deal was and was told sorry they will get to it soon. I had to get back to work so I took my keys and left. This is the second issue I have had at this service center and will not be returning. More

Two hours later, no call back, so I called again and was told it would take 8 hours while I wait for Toyota to perform the work. When I pressed and told them when I lived in Wantagh, 2 Nassau County dealers told me 2 hours. I then got an answer of 3 hour wait which is unacceptable. No explanation given as to why in Nassau it takes 2 hours to fix and in Riverhead, the same repair takes 3 hours. As I result, I will not have the service done. Never going back to RIverhead Toyota for service or a new car. UPDATE: within 10 minutes of my Yelp review post (same as above), management reached out to me and rectified the situation. More
