This is the third car I have leased from Riverhead Toyota, and the second car I have got through Brendan Bowen. I flew into ISLIP airport Saturday morning, to pick up a pre-owned 2010 Toyota Sienna I had purchased online "sight unseen." Charles picked me up in my "soon-to-be" car. Being an internet purchase, I had pre-owned 2010 Toyota Sienna I had purchased online "sight unseen." Charles picked me up in my "soon-to-be" car. Being an internet purchase, I had some apprehension about the actual condition and features of the car, vs. what had been represented in the ad. Not only was every detail exactly as represented, Charles had gone to great lengths to have the car beautifully detailed, and had even replaced the floor mats; not at my request, but because he wanted everything to be perfect. Though the car was pre-owned, I felt like I was taking ownership of a new car. Charles made the long-distance shopping process easy by answering every question courteously and completely. He even took a few more photos that I requested and e-mailed them to me. He provided simple instructions for what needed to be done prior to, and at the time of my visit. The time actually spent at the dealership was less than 10 minutes, and I was on my way - one very satisfied customer. The only challenging thing about this internet purchase was the 13-hr drive home; but well worth it. More
I am still awaiting a response on my 2008 FJ Cruiser tire cover. The tire cover elastic is defective in that every time I go through a car wash, the tire cover gets sucked off the vehicle and damaged. This i cover. This is a major inconvenience and never happened with my Isuzu SUV with a tire cover???! Mike Hamill is handling this for me?! The reception person who answers the Dealer main phone line, needs work. She is quick to transfer you before letting you finish your sentence. Also, not very helpful. More
This dealership goes out of their way to please customers. Internet service is prompt and responsive. After emailing and scheduling an appointment to take a look at a new 2009 Matrix, I arrived at dealership with "my" car waiting and one with my 2nd choice color next to it. Very nice touch - especially after having dealt with two other well known Toyo dealers in mid Suffolk who were impatient and questioned why I wished to purchase a stick shift! The Salesman I had was great. Service appointments are on time; they are followed up with either internet message or phone calls to make sure everything was done right. Only room for improvement is Service area which needs designated parking lots. This dealership is wonderful (despite the Toyota recalls). More
I have been a customer of this dealership since June 2004 and I have to say that the customer service is by far the best on Long Island. The friendly atmosphere and the no pressure to do unnecessary work is and I have to say that the customer service is by far the best on Long Island. Various details that I assume were taken care of by Dan were not handled with complete accuracy, for example, the registration that he arranged came in the mail with an incorrect license plate number. I felt he should have alerted me about exactly what I needed to have when I came to pick up my car. The process could have gone slightly more smoothly. Peter, with whom I had a brief encounter, kept me waiting while he was looking at papers and seemed to take his time about finding someone (it ended up being Brendon) when I came in to pick up the car. He acted as if I were intruding on him, while in fact I was buying a car at the dealership under his direction. Brendon was well-informed, patient, did exactly what I would have wanted. More

He's very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and does what he can to close the deal, as long as the buyer is reasonable in return. In both cases the "out-the-door price" was as expected. My wife and I are also very satisfied with both of our used Toyotas in terms of the comfort, quietness, reliability, and fuel economy. One vehicle required some warranty service (NOT gas pedal stuff) and I was very satisfied with the timeliness and quality of the work performed. The service manager and technician listened carefully to my needs and understood them, completing the task as expected. When I need another vehicle, I will surely stop at this dealership first.
