I had such anxiety about buying a new car and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the deal I was getting. After visiting one dealer, my anxiety was heightened. Then I walked into Riverhead Hyundai make sure I was comfortable with the deal I was getting. After visiting one dealer, my anxiety was heightened. Then I walked into Riverhead Hyundai and immediately recognized Anthony (whom my parents had purchased a car from in the past). After speaking with Anthony, I no longer had anxiety. He was upfront with me about everything. He gave me my options, worked with me and my fiance to make a deal. I walked into this dealer to get some numbers and left purchasing a brand new Sonata. I am beyond happy with my new car and my new dealership! I would absolutely recommend Anthony Hili and Riverhead Hyundai to anybody purchasing or leasing a new car!! More

I purchased a 2012 Nissan Armada from Riverhead Nissan I purchased a 2012 Nissan Armada from Riverhead Nissan (also known as Riverhead Automall LTD, DBA Riverhead Hyundai), located at 1800 Old Coun I purchased a 2012 Nissan Armada from Riverhead Nissan (also known as Riverhead Automall LTD, DBA Riverhead Hyundai), located at 1800 Old Country Road, Riverhead, NY 11901. My wife and I were told one sale price of the car which was $45,500 meanwhile the manager and the finance manager switched the figures around resulting the purchase price to become $48,044 (sale price was $50,544 - $2,500Mfr's rebate = $48,044). All along, we thought our purchase price was what we agreed upon with our sales consultant. You might ask yourself how this can happen without the consumer being aware of the purchase price. Please let me explain and I am sure you will find that the management team throughout this sale was purposeful misleading in the way they crafted the offer and negligent in how they handled this matter from start to finish. After negotiating back and forth the final sale price of a 2012 Nissan Armada Platinum, demo model with 5,000 miles we came to a mutual agreement between the sales associate and my wife and I. The sales consultant, Janea A. Meacorella read us the offer sheet that the manager, Francois R. Wall, agreed to offer us for the car. The offer was the final sale price of the car was $45,500 and we were trading in our current vehicle for $22,500. Our sales consultant said that the monthly payments would be $529 a month for 60 months at this purchase price as long as we had an A+ credit rating. My wife and I agreed to the sale at the sale price of $45,500.00 and those terms based on THAT sale price. The offer sheet that they had me sign was only the monthly payments, not the purchase price. There is no doubt in our minds that this was crafted this way to confuse us and mislead us to thinking we were still getting the agreed upon sale price of $45,500.00. It was nearing closing time on Saturday evening. All of the sale consultants but ours had already left for the day. As the finance manager was preparing the paperwork I left quickly to drop my wife off at home to relieve our babysitter. By the time I came back, the dealership was closed to the public because it was after 6:00 pm. All of the paperwork was ready for me to sign. I was rushed through the paperwork by the finance manager and he kept referring to the monthly payments, not the total purchased price and trying to sell me an extended warranty along with an Intelli payment plan (which I agreed to). The monthly payments were within a couple of dollars of what I was quoted, so I signed all of the documents. I was under the understanding that these monthly payments were based on the agreed sale price. I briefly looked at the bill of sale and voiced my confusion but all the finance manager said was that there was credits listed below and rushed me along. Later that evening, I went over the bill of sale and I was still confused because the price I was quoted didn't seem to be the price I was charged. My wife went down to speak to the sales consultant and the manager we dealt with for our purchase. Both Nissan associates were off but she spoke with the General Sales Manager, Eric Garcia (for the first time). He assured my wife he would speak to them on Tuesday and figure this out. On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 12:00 pm, I went into speak with both Janea (sales consultant) and Francois (manager that we dealt with for the purchase.). During this visit I only spoke with the manager, Francois. I discussed my concerns with him and he was quite dismissive. He strongly disagreed with me and said that he changed the offer. I assure you that this was NEVER disclosed to us or our sales consultant, Janea Meacorella. After threatening litigation he said that he would speak to our sales associate and call us later. By 3:30 pm we had not heard a response from anyone involved. So, my wife went to the dealership and both managers would not speak with her because my name was on all forms. I was then pulled from work to meet my wife and the Nissan associates to resolve this matter. When I arrived at the dealership I went over to speak to my wife and our sales consultant, Janea came running over to speak with us. She approached my wife and I and assured us that she knows the agreed upon contract price was the $45,500 and we were receiving $22,500.00 for our trade in and that she would fix all of this. Both managers there (Manger Francois R. Wall and General Sales Manager, Eric Garcia) didn't want to hear her speak. It was quite evident that these managers were trying to keep Janae quiet. She was almost in tears from the pressure and stress they put on her. I had to leave the dealership with my two small children but my wife stayed to speak with our sales consultant and both managers. She insisted that they all spoke together at the same time. Finally, after an hour of waiting Eric Garcia gave in to my wife's demand and the three associates met with my wife. During this brief meeting our sales consultant informed BOTH managers (or lack there of) that the agreed upon purchase price was $45,500 and the trade in was valued at $22,500 and that the monthly payments were allegedly based on the sale price of that $45,500.. They sent Janea off out of the room to speak to my wife in private. They told my wife that they do not care what the agreed upon purchase price was because I signed the contract illustrating I was aware that $536.07 was my monthly payment for 60 months and that was all that mattered. She tried telling them again and again that we were told a certain sale price which was $45,500 and we were under the understanding that the monthly payment they came up with was predicated on THAT SALE PRICE. I strongly suggest Nissan Corporate speaking to Riverhead Nissan about their business ethics. Don't take my word for it, do your own research and you will find the true answer. Please look them up at the Better Business Bureau website. The BBB conducted a survey of 101 dealerships based on the number of complaints filed against those dealerships and Riverhead Automall (Riverhead Nissan) came in the bottom 7 dealerships. There was a total of 36 complaints filed with the BBB with regards to this dealership (after my complaint the total will be 37). At this point I had not filed a complaint with the BBB. I wanted to see how my concerns were addressed through Nissan Inc. prior to reporting to a third party. This survey is a pretty compelling case from an independent third party source. For your convenience I enclosed a copy of this report and highlighted the pertinent portions of this document.. I am completely discouraged with my purchase. I like the product but we still continue to have some mechanical issues with this vehicle that need to be addressed ( the staff allegedly fixed the car pulling to the right but it still pulls and since we took the car home we had several electronic issues problems where the volume on the radio and DVD system cuts in and out and several times we encountered ignition problems, where we couldn't start the car, even using the manual key). We were going to have this addressed with the dealership but since we were treated this way with the purchase of the vehicle we really do not trust them to correct ANY of our concerns. I have such a dirty taste in my mouth after this experience. After my experience with this dealership, my advice when purchasing a vehicle is to stay far away from this from Riverhead Nissan / Riverhead Automall. There are plenty of dealerships that are honest and work hard to keep the customer happy. This is NOT one of them! RUN AWAY!!!!!!!! More
I walked into this dealership on a Sunday afternoon about an hour and a half before closing. I knew what car I wanted and what price range I was looking for. Janae, the sales woman that helped us, was beyond an hour and a half before closing. I knew what car I wanted and what price range I was looking for. Janae, the sales woman that helped us, was beyond professional and honest. Along with the other staff working that Sunday afternoon, they exceeded my expectations. They all stayed an hour beyond the closing time to ensure that I was pleased with my purchase and that the finances were in order. That is a lot to say for a dealership. I understand that the bottom line is that they are there to sell a car and they were willing to do whatever it takes, but during the three weeks of shopping for a car, not all dealerships were willing to go the extra mile as this team did. On top of the excelled service, their prices were without a doubt unbeatable. I highly recommend this dealership for anyone not looking for the "pushy" and usual demeanor that comes with sales persons. I will send anyone that is looking for a Nissan their way! More
