Last year, the night before I brought my Prius in for service, there was a sweet yet alien aroma in it. Couldn't figure out what it was, thought it was from a bakery I passed, but it persisted. I really didn't think much of it, until the service advisor came out, and said "Your water pump is just beginning to go. You can drive it for a while, or we can replace it for you. " Having broken down many years ago on the New York State Thruway with a broken water pump, it was no contest. The water pump was replaced, that visit. This past visit, I was informed that a nail had been found in my tire, and that there would be a fee for dismounting the tire, welding in a patch, rebalancing, etc. I okayed expending the money. What happened? Turns out the nail (actually, a small screw) was lodged in the tread, and hadn't penetrated the tire's carcass. Result? No charge for the removal of the offending object. Honesty, as depicted by both of these incidents, are why I continue to have my Prius serviced by this dealership. Notably, even through a change in ownership, the competence and honesty of the service department has changed not one bit. That is key. This is what an automobile dealership is supposed to be like. QUICK PROFESSIONAL SERVICE I came in for a regular maintenance appointment to discover the new "express" service for newish cars. Also Mark Anderson came over several times to update me on the progress and to chat (I was the only customer at that time)..the whole experience was great!! Oh yes, they also discovered that I was due for my state inspection and they did that as well... I worked with Mark. I met Jose but did not interact with him while the car was serviced. More

We dealt with John Hunt at the Express Service Dept and he made sure everything was properly taken care of. The waiting area is quite comfy, with bagels and coffee, too!! John was a pleasure to deal with. Our salesman is Joe Loschiavo, and we've bought 4 cars from him. He is wonderful, and makes the buying experience easy and enjoyable. In the regular service dept, we go to Kevin Feldman, whom we have known for 20 years. He is a treasure, and we trust him completely to keep our cars in perfect shape. More

The Best Got Even Better I had bought and had serviced three new cars from the same dealer over a period of about eighteen years. When they changed ownership, I had some conc I had bought and had serviced three new cars from the same dealer over a period of about eighteen years. When they changed ownership, I had some concern that the service might not be as good as it had been. Remarkably, it was even a bit better. In addition to quality of the service before, a car wash with each service appointment and a loaner if necessary were added. Many of the service advisors and mechanics I knew were happily still working there. Service advisors were knowledgeable, helpful, and articulate. Today in 95 degree heat and high humidity, my car wouldn't start in the parking lot of a department store. I called them and they sent a car to pick me and my daughter up, drove us to their service center, drove us home while the repair was being done, towed my car to their service center, diagnosed the problem, and did the necessary repair all in about two hours, all this on a Saturday afternoon!, Rivera Toyota of Mt. Kisco is a magnificent rarity. More
