When looking for my new truck and features I wanted, Don Pullen was there with all the right answers and suggestions. Has my vote when buying a new truck and Salesman by my side. Service work poor quality Took a used Explorer I just purchased to Riser to be serviced and inspected. Asked for a new key to be coded and to check a coolant leak. The vehicle Took a used Explorer I just purchased to Riser to be serviced and inspected. Asked for a new key to be coded and to check a coolant leak. The vehicle was serviced, rear shocks replaced, two front links replaced, and the transmission flushed. The bill was over $1800. I was charged $220 for a pressure test of the cooling system , $68 for an upper radiator hose, and $128 to flush and fill the cooling system. Drove the vehicle about 50 miles , checked the cooling system and the radiator istsel was almost empty. Added coolant, took it back to Riser, and was told the thermostat housing was cracked. $680 later I got the car back (even charged for more new coolant that leaked out because of inferior repair work) . Was told the manifold had to be removed to change the thermostat housing wish it doesn't (Google it). The housing leak was directly under the $68 upper hose which the car didn't need. Brought the car home and checked the coolant recovery tank, it was bone dry. Checked the radiator pressure cap and found that it held no pressure. For a $220 labor, 2 hour pressure test (that I could do at home with my tester in about 5 minutes), one would think that the system was checked properly, including the pressure cap. Now I have to worry about the quality of any other work done to the car at Riser since they obviously have no quality control of their repair work. They may be okay when you purchase a new vehicle that doesn't need diagnosed or repaired, but be warned about poor quality of repair work and their diagnostic abilities. More

Oil change I went for an oil change and found the service was pretty good. The waiting area was very nice, clean and noisy. There was a very nice big screen television that was on, along with rather loud music playing in the showroom which made being able to read or do anything else rather difficult as well as distracting. When I was in my vehicle and about to leave I noticed that the change oil soon light was still on. I brought this to the attention of one of the service men and was told to "g-o-o-g-l-e", in other words I should check with google to see how to reset the change oil soon light. A nice service person came over to my vehicle and then walked me though turning this service light off. I have had many oil changes and never had this type of poor customer service. Over all the staff was friendly except for this one individual. I left a message for the service manager to call and guess what? That's right, no call. More
