I purchased my new SRX in the Spring of 2010 from Coulter Cadillac. At the time I was quite satisfied with the quality of the vehicle, the sales team, and the subsequent service. I moved to Denver, Co. in Cadillac. At the time I was quite satisfied with the quality of the vehicle, the sales team, and the subsequent service. I moved to Denver, Co. in the Fall of 2010 and had occasion to seek service at my local Cadillac dealer, Rickenbacher Cadillac. All service was performed flawlessly thanks to service director, Norm Fryer. When I had a problem with the chrome finish on my wheels and lower trim, I personally contacted the service manager, Blaze Flaherty. He patiently listened to my concerns and told me he would contact the regional Cadillac representative and get back to me promptly. Several days later, Blaze called me and informed me that Cadillac would replace all of the parts in question at their expense where ever I would like the service performed. As I had returned the vehicle to Phoenix, I elected to have my original dealership, Coulter Cadillac, do the work. I contacted Coulter Cadillac Service Manager, Jon Thorne, who entrusted this task to his ever able assistant, Ed Stralko. As all Cadillac personnel preceding him, Ed was extremely professional and to the utmost helpful. He continued to make this entire process as easy on me as possible, demonstrating that the total Cadillac experience is luxury, from the quality of the product, to the exceptional customer service. BEWARE! Don't buy a used car from Rickenbaugh Volvo. They showed me a price using KBB for a car that I bought only thing they used a model with more options than mine and I ended up paying way more ($3500) t showed me a price using KBB for a car that I bought only thing they used a model with more options than mine and I ended up paying way more ($3500) than the car is worth. I have to say, after reading the other reviews/seeing the scores, I can only conclude that most of Rickenabugh's clients are so thrilled they don't need to advertise it on the site. Also, other dealerships scores, I can only conclude that most of Rickenabugh's clients are so thrilled they don't need to advertise it on the site. Also, other dealerships heavily promote this site to inflate their positive comments, but Rickenbaugh focuses on service & quality. Anthony was WONDERFUL to work with- he quickly related the vehicle to my life, features to what he thought I'd use them for and put himself in my shoes. He's solid on facts, commitment and follow-through. Anthony Moore exemplifies customer service and I'm really pleased with the 2011 SRX!!! Thanks for everything Anthony!!!! More
I was a loyal RICKENBAUGH service customer taking my car in even for oil changes for many years. One service call required that they remove my dashboard. On my way home that evening, I hit a bump on the r in even for oil changes for many years. One service call required that they remove my dashboard. On my way home that evening, I hit a bump on the road and the ashtray popped out. I figured they made a mistake when they were re-installing the dashboard but no big deal. I would just have them fix the ashtray on my next visit. That was my mistake. The next month when I took the car in for regular service, the service rep was skeptical that I was telling the truth. They wanted $150 to replace the spring that holds the ashtray. I was incensed and asked to speak to the manager. The manager thought I was making the whole thing up and would not budge. He said that I should have reported it immediately. When I asked how long I could have waited and still have him accept my word, he said one day. Their service warranty is worth one day. Instead I told him I would tell one person about my experience for every bump I hit. I'm proud to say that I've dissuaded four customers from continuing to use their service department and two customers from buying cars from them. And BTW, if you want the same dealership quality at significant discounts, check out Volvo Specialists. They're a couple of miles away on Santa Fe between Alameda and 6th Ave. More
This service department is staffed by badly trained xxxxxxx! After my grandmothers car was returned, more was wrong than when it went in! It was squealing like a Banshee because they had intentionall xxxxxxx! After my grandmothers car was returned, more was wrong than when it went in! It was squealing like a Banshee because they had intentionally broken a fitting on the vacuum line! Also, they disconnected a wire so the dash lights would not come on when allegedly replacing a cabin air filter. As a backyard mechanic, I was able to repair all their little tricks. Meanwhile, they charged plenty for a routine 15K service and I surmise they didn't do a thing to the car except let it sit outside in the sun and sabotage things so she would bring it back!! My grandmother bought it there and they really fleeced her. Just wait until you get old! More
I was looking for a hard to find loaded S40 AWD. Called over 25 dealers in the South West. Rickenbaugh had the exact color & options I was looking for. Joe was awesome to work with, he gave me a quote o over 25 dealers in the South West. Rickenbaugh had the exact color & options I was looking for. Joe was awesome to work with, he gave me a quote over the phone and faxed over the all the docs. 9/29/2005: When I arrived on-site, everyone was very courtious & helpful. Joe had everything ready to go & stuck to the agreed upon price (I was nerveous after reading the previous post). Took a quick test drive. Signed the docs. Went through the new vehicle delivery explanation and I was outta there. Painless. Lovin the new S40. -RJ. More
When I called the dealer to see if he had a car in my price range, I was assured he did. I arrived and there was the perfect car at my price. I placed a deposit and waited. Several days later I had to price range, I was assured he did. I arrived and there was the perfect car at my price. I placed a deposit and waited. Several days later I had to call to find out that they claimed to have sold the car at auction but they had another for me. [I must point out that this salesman NEVER followed up on any request I made and always forced me to do several follow-up calls to get the answers I needed.] This other car was $4000.00 higher in price (nearly 30% higher). When I went to see the car for approval, I was told by the salesman, "Cliff has set a price of $17, 649" -- by the way, the car was not available for viewing at that time; the salesman actually had the nerve to say, "I wish you had called me so I could have saved you a trip." {Why wouldn't HE call ME?} When I finally returned to actually see the car, all the paper work was prepared for a sale. I told the salesman that I was not prepared yet to buy because the price (after taxes) was above my upper limit - a number that I had repeated to the salesman many times. Also, on the first deal, the salesman had offered a discount of $1000 plus a trade-in of my (admittedly) well-worn car of $500. On the 'replacement car' he offered NO discount and a trade-in of $100!

The salesman pushed me off onto his manager, Cliff, who was a pleasure to deal with ... but it was apparent that he had NO IDEA that the price was still an issue and he began completing the deal. I stopped him. It was also clear that he had NO IDEA that I had set a total 'out-the-door' price of $18,000.00 tops. He informed me that the price was $18,999 and had been reduced to the $17.6K price -- this was COMPLETELY NEW news to me, the salesman had NEVER told me of the original $18,999 price.

Then I was sent on to deal with someone else who offered a price of $17,200 PLUS $1895 for an extended warranty! Wow, it went from bad to worse.

Now, I have no idea if they actually sold that original car to an auction or, in fact, had gotten a better offer from some other buyer (though I admit I tend to believe Cliff that it was sold at auction) but there was no attempt to make up for these failures, slights and "bait-and-switch" tactics. They burned up 3.5 hours of my time on Wednesday and let me walk without EVER trying to really make up for their failures on the first deal.

For a price of $16,750 they'd have had a sale ... but now they have bad reviews on the Internet, a negative report at the BBB and terrible word of mouth that will no doubt spread. So I say, BUYER BEWARE at this dealer. More
