I bought my car from Rick Hendrick fifteen years ago and am happy my new regular concierge, Andrew Bible, thinks I can get another five -- possibly ten -- years out of my beloved Yaris hatchback. When I came in for routine maintenance (the key to longevity) and the inspection revealed the serpentine belt and brakes were past their life expectancies. (This was not a surprise to me. I'd been expecting the news about the brakes for a year, and if a belt lasts 110,000 miles, it owes me nothing.) All the parts weren't on site and I couldn't wait hours for their delivery, so Andrew held my bill for the oil and filter change until the next week, when I could get the belt and brakes done. When I was able to return for the rest of the work, he bumped me to the front of the line so I wouldn't have to wait long. I returned a couple weeks later to have the squeaky belt tightened, and Andrew arranged to fit me between scheduled customers. The weirdest, best thing about Hendrick Toyota is the culture. I don't know if others have had the same experience, but I have never felt pressured at this dealership. My buying experience was insanely smooth. I've returned for all my maintenance, taking advantage of coupons and service specials. The only thing that would make me happier with Rick Hendrick Toyota is if it relocated to my end of town.
