July 20, 2022 traded in mini van, purchased another from above dealership. got financing, took van home to ohio. temporary tag expired august 20, 2022, but no memorandum title to get ohio tag. this is my w above dealership. got financing, took van home to ohio. temporary tag expired august 20, 2022, but no memorandum title to get ohio tag. this is my work vehicle, so after august 20, 2022 i cannot legally drive it. was sent a bill of sale to sign on august 18, 2022, which apparently was missed when i was at the dealership. rick hendrick finance guy says he will "expedite" it through the third party company that handles their title work and get me a memorandum title. he also said it could take up to 6 weeks for the paperwork to be processed "due to covid". that is a quote from the guy at the dealership. quit blaming the dealership dropping the ball on covid. they blew it, plain and simple. then on august 18, 2022 i get a letter from the leinholder of the van i traded in saying i am late on my august payment, due august 16, and am going to be charged a late fee of $35. the deal took place 26 days before the august payment was due. not only do i have a van in my driveway that i cannot drive, i now have to deal with the leinholder of the vehicle i traded in to get that straightened out. in researching ohio title laws i do have some rights. one is to contact the dealership and cancel the sale. problem with that is they do not have the van i traded in. second option would be to file with the ohio attorney general, who will refund any monies i have paid. they take the vehicle and go after the dealership. either option leaves me without a vehicle, but it is almost worth it to watch the dealership squirm. rick hendrick jeeep...thanks alot for a really WONDERFUL transaction. dont do me any more favors, just GET ME THE PAPERWORK SO I CAN GET ON WITH MY LIFE!! More
