We were pleasantly surprised when getting Jon as our sales representative for our journey through a used car purchase and found a car fairly quickly, but we soon heard that the vehicle we put a deposit sales representative for our journey through a used car purchase and found a car fairly quickly, but we soon heard that the vehicle we put a deposit on had been sold from under our sales person (I thought the reason for a deposit was to secure the vehicle). After this the search continued fairly well for a little while. Soon Jon became rude and less than helpful, which at this point turned me off from working with him as he should have been putting in a bit extra effort; therefore, I chose to use a different hendrick dealership where my experience was not much improved for other reasons. I felt that the finance guy we worked with on the original vehicle was rude in the sense of him just "wanting to be done" with the process. He used these exact words when we were working on our deposit/loan information. By the end of our experiences with this dealership I was nothing but unsatisfied and thoroughly unimpressed by the staff. More
Bought a new 2011 Dodge Charger from this dealership a in October of 2011. Overall experience was pretty good. Really no different than your average dealership. Same sales tactics as everywhere else - Mak October of 2011. Overall experience was pretty good. Really no different than your average dealership. Same sales tactics as everywhere else - Make you wait longer than necessary to establish a sense of power, management is behind a glass partition, although it's not raised above the rest of the sales floor as is common in many dealerships. I was impressed that I was actually able to get out of my vehicle before being approached by a salesperson, but it didn't take long. Advice and thing's I've learned: Do some research on sites such as edmunds.com before even going to the dealership. That site is very helpful in determining what price you should be paying for any given vehicle. Before you go, call, ask for the internet sales manager, and get a quote on the vehicle that you're interested in. These internet salespeople will usually give you a close to bottom-line price. Work out the price before you even go to the dealership. They will try everything in their power to get you to come in so that you are on their turf and they have a huge advantage. The test drive should be one of the last things that you do rather than one of the first. When they ask about a trade, tell them that you're in no rush to buy and that you're going to wait to sell your vehicle before buying. When they ask about financing, tell them that you're going to finance through your bank because you know that they can give you a better rate. If it appears that you aren't in a rush to buy, you have a huge advantage. I got great trade value and APR on a loan from them almost immediately by doing so. Negotiate and agree on the price of the vehicle before even discussing trade value and financing. Don't let them talk you into doing it all at the same time. Also, never pay their full "tax, tag, title, cleaning" fee ($700+ I think they quoted me). This is nearly pure profit for the dealer. Taxes account for a flat $300. Almost all of the rest is pure markup. Never pay a cleanup fee (fee for cleaning and detailing the car once you buy it). If you're uncomfortable with any part of it, tell them you need some time to think about it. You will probably be asked something like, "What can I do to earn your business today?" That is a sure cue that they have room to negotiate on their end. Overall, they were very good compared to other dealerships I've experienced in the past. I was in and out within a few hours. The young lady that provided me with the manual, keys, and misc. info about Sirius radio, etc. while the vehicle was being detailed was horrible and not at all knowledgable. The salesman was very helpful in going over all of the features of the vehicle once it was ready. More

It is a wonderful feeling to have a dealership I can trust and have confidence in. I recently took my Chryslaer Sebring in for routine maintenance. While it was there one of the technicians found what c trust and have confidence in. I recently took my Chryslaer Sebring in for routine maintenance. While it was there one of the technicians found what could have been a very costly problme if left undone. It required a part to be ordered. My service consultant, Harry Evans fully explained the problem to me and when I gave the ok he immediately ordered the necessary part( a Valve cover) The one on my car was cracked. Harry told me he would need to keep the car for a couple of days until the part arrived and could be repaired. He offered me a courier ride home and also offerd to get me a rental car if needed at his cost. I appreciated the offer it wasn't necessary since I own a second vehicle. Harry kept me fully informed on the progress of the part.. and upon repair he called me immediatly. He even offered to stay late if I couldn't get there before closing time. I can't say enough good things about the way I was treated at that dealership. Everyone was friendly and all of them had a ready smile and a kind word. The Chrysler Corporation and Rick Hendrick can be proud of this service department. They were good to me so I felt compelled to write this evaluation on just how well I was treated. I would reccomend them to anyone. Sincerely, Frank O. Hunt 865 Wellington Drive Charleston, SC 29412 e-mail frankohunt@hotmail.com More
My Husband and I have purchased Dodge Caravans from Rick Hendrick since the late 1980's. We keep returning to purchase our vans because of the quality and workmanship of the service department. They are a Hendrick since the late 1980's. We keep returning to purchase our vans because of the quality and workmanship of the service department. They are always fair, friendly and efficient. They go above and beyond to make sure things are done right and they work to give us the best advise on the proper maintenance of our vehicles. We brought our Dodge Grand Caravan in with a suspected faulty alternator. This alternator was replaced 9 months ago by Rick Hendricks, and was 2000 miles out of warranty. We were expecting a bill in the faulty alternator. This alternator was replaced 9 months ago by Rick Hendricks, and was 2000 miles out of warranty. We were expecting a bill in the $300 - $400 range, so we were pleasantly surprised when our bill totalled $40.00--a wonderful blessing to us! Thanks to Harry Evans and Mopar for this Goodwill(not sure if this is the right term) repair! We are so grateful! More
