I have done business with Rick Hendrick on several cars and found that if you let them know up front what your expectations are and what you are looking for they will work hard to meet your needs. Polite but Poor Service Dept. I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Rick Hendrick Dodge's service department. I came in originally to have a simple repair on my bra I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Rick Hendrick Dodge's service department. I came in originally to have a simple repair on my brakes, which turned into an ordeal. First off, I was told I had an appointment at 7:30am, and upon my arrival I was told my vehicle probably wouldn't be looked at until 2-3pm. Due to their lack of communication and oversight of my appointment, they ordered a part that I needed past a certain time of the day, making them unable to get it shipped in a timely fashion.On top of that, because of the holidays and them closing for two days, they were unable to repair my vehicle in a timely fashion. What would've taken 24 hours to get the part delivered and repair the car, took over a week. I was without my car over the holidays and had to spend $300+ on a rental car due to their negligence. Upon picking my car up, the upholstery in the car had been tampered with (which has nothing to due with the brake system). A very polite manager met with me and took a look at it, apologized and promised to have it repaired and that he would take the cost of the repairs. He told me to call him the next morning. I did so, and low and behold, he "no longer works for the company". I was then transferred to many different employees who would "help me out". After about a two week game of phone tag, countless emails, and more, I was finally able to speak to someone about the repairs. Harry Evans was very polite and wanted to help me. He told me if I brought my car in to get fixed on Friday, he could have it finished over the weekend. Well, 5 days went by and he finally called to tell me that they were unable to repair it themselves and they would have to outsource help. Why did it take five day to figure that out and call me? Keep in mind, I was still without a vehicle for all of this time, but since they were willing to pay for the repairs, I remained patient. I received a call the next day only to be told that they could not repair it and if I would like to have it fixed, I would have to pay the charges. Safe to say, I was extremely upset that I had left my car with them for this long only to be told that I would be paying for the damages that occurred while my car was on their lot. I consider myself a very kind and patient person, but this is absurd and should not be tolerated. I am still waiting to hear from a supervisor, but I am assuming if their behavior is like the rest of the employees, that it will be awhile until I hear back. You're better off going to a local service company, don't waste your time here. More

Impossible to get followup after you buy a car. I bought a truck back in August, and had a myriad of communications problems after I bought the truck (of course). I was promised that I would receive the spare key, which I never did. I tried every avenue of communications - I left voicemails, sent emails to the sales staff and finance, online chat - you name it. My title work also came in late, and I had the exact same problem getting in touch with the title department for 35 days after I bought the truck. They're real nice before you buy anything, but then, they disappear. There's another Dodge dealership in Charleston - take your business there. More

Service Department is a huge headache I didn't buy my car here (got it out of state) but my experience with their service department has been sub-par at best. They are either too busy for their own good or just don't know how to operate. The knowledge level of the various team members I have spoken to are about a 2 on a 10 point scale of my Jeep SRT8. Don't believe for a second that the shuttle service is a benefit. It drives all around so takes forever to make various trips. Today I had scheduled a 7:30am appointment and it is now 4pm and they haven't even touched my car. I had to call for an update. I was warned they may not finish my car and they kindly set me up with a rental BUT why even set an appointment if you cannot honor the time or even day. Now I am without my car for the weekend and have to coordinate more time away from the office to deal with this. (They apparently do not do most services on Saturdays). I brought my car in for the first time last week to work on a recall and do an oil change and they corrected the recall and did the oil change but couldn't get to my check engine light after having my car ALL day and I had to call multiple times to get a hold of someone for an update before they closed. I wanted to use the shuttle and was told it wouldn't get to me before they close so I had to find my own ride. They had to order some parts for this issue I am dealing with now and told me that the parts should be in in a few days and I could get in a day or 2 later to get it fixed...it is now 4 days later and will be another 7 before they possibly get to it....I will be looking for another place to get my '13 Jeep serviced and I will make sure to tell everyone I can not to go there for service! How many reviews does it take before they make a change! More
The most incompetent, shady, people. I don't even know where to start with this review.. but I'll hit the basics. I only found out recently that they've been using up the oil changes and I don't even know where to start with this review.. but I'll hit the basics. I only found out recently that they've been using up the oil changes and tire rotations that I paid for INSTEAD of the ones Chrysler gives you for free. I basically had to raise xxxx for them to reimburse me and even so they didn't give me back enough. They've forgotten to do services I requested and then lied to me when I asked if they were done. I've brought my car in for service, and drove it away with the same or MORE problems. The service techs there must have been dragged from the street because most of them know next to NOTHING about cars. They called the wastegate on my car a blow off valve which isn't even close to being the same thing. They also said that my air intake could have caused my transmission failure...WHAT?! They're refusing to fix the clutch on my car that they replaced the transmission on because they're saying it's a "wearable part".. so you know.. they're saying it's normal that a clutch will wear out in 3 years on a brand new car! They actually had notes on my sheet saying that I have raced my car as a functional race car, the smell coming from my vents was from dirty laundry and trash (my car was clean), and the malfunctioning blind spot indicators was caused by me driving with the door open... seriously.. you can't make this up! This is the type of service you can expect when you visit this dealership. They'll do whatever they can to bring you in, and once you're there they'll squeeze every single form of currency out of you, spit in your face, and kick you out. Everybody in my car club has had an experience exactly like mine. I've turned away probably 100 people from buying from this dealership or stepping foot in there.AVOID. AT. ALL. COSTS. More
