My wife and I had been to many dealerships in the last month all over metro Atlanta, and this dealership by far is the most untrustworthy of them all. The first thing we always tell the sales person is we aren't going to buy a car for a least 6 months, and we are just looking at different options. Every time each sales person has been very helpful in letting us sit in the cars, providing information about the cars, and pleasant at the various places. We thought Rick Case was going to be the same experience, however when we got there they insisted we test drive the car we were looking at. Once we were done we went inside the showroom and I advised the sales person and the financial manager, Casey Lloyd, of our situation. We knew that due to our current situation, that we were not in position to drive a car of the lot that night. I also advised that when I buy a car I want to be in position where my car note was $75-$100 less than it is now. I was then advised that if they did a small soft credit inquiry they would be able to tell me would needed to be done to help me get to my goal. At that moment I specifically told them I didn't want a hard credit inquiry on my report. They assured me more than once that it would be a soft inquiry, so I went ahead and allowed them to help. After about 15 minutes of waiting the sales person comes back and advises that if I do as I had planned they would be able to get me into the car at $500 - $550 a month and this should be my goal for the next 90 days. I was also advised that it would be impossible to get a car note less than I have now. Figuring the car was only $23,600 and I am willing to put $5,000 down, the proposed payment was hard to choke down. Who in their right mind would pay 25% interest with a total payout being above $10,000 over sticker, and that doesn't include the down payment. No big deal that we didn't drive off with a new car because that wasn't our goal. My wife and I had a good laugh about it until 2 days ago when my credit monitor sent me an e-mail saying there was a new hard inquiry on my credit report, and of course it was from Rick Case. It's one thing to be feed xx about loan amounts, but it should be illegal for a dealership to ding your credit score after saying no to a hard inquiry. The sales person must have said a 100 times I want to change people minds about how they view the car buying experience. If that's the case then they need to learn from the previous 10 dealerships we visited in the last month. More
On January 26, 2013, I went to the dealership to buy a car. Mr. Butler approached me at the parking lot. I told him I wanted to test drive a 2012 Elantra Touring, We went for a drive. Mr. Butler called me after a week trying to get my business back. After many weeks of negotiating over the phone, and agreed into a fixed price, I told Mr. Butler that I was going to be there on Friday, March 22 at noon to purchase the car. On Friday I was running late so I called him and left him a voice mail that I was going to be there by 4:00PM. Right at 3:00 I called his cell phone because I wanted to make sure he was going to be at the dealer at 4:00. He said yes. When I got there, I asked him where the car was and he told me that somewhere in the back. My friend, the one who drove me all the way there wanted to see some SUVs so we asked him to take us to the lot.. When we came back in the shop, all of a sudden he offered me another car because the car that I was ready to buy had been sold. I did not like this way of making business of Mr. Rick and Mrs. Rita Case. More

Hyundai was not even on our radar, but somehow it came to mind the next evening, so we researched the Genesis. It looked great in the pics, but the real test was to see if my 6'7" boyfriend could sit in it comfortably. We went to Rick Case because it was the nearest dealership open on Sundays. David Butler greeted us and sat us down to talk about why we were there and what we were looking for. He was very laid back and easy to talk to. We did not feel pushed at any time by him or anyone else. My BF fit in the Genesis coupe with plenty of head room and his knees weren't up to the dash, not to mention the car performance was excellent. It is an awesome car, and David made negotiating fun and easy. We arrived only to do a test drive, but ended up buying right away, and walked away with an awesome deal. Our lower rating on price is not the dealers fault... The Genesis is generally priced a little higher than we were intending to go. However, it was an easier decision to buy the Genesis rather than the Honda. Talking financing with Claud was not bad either. He was very helpful and personable. Even though it was by chance, we are glad we ended up at Rick Case Hyundai in Duluth! Thanks David! More
