Expert and Welcoming Experience Buying a car can be a less than wonderful experience if you go to the wrong dealer. I however was more than impressed with Rick Case Hyundai, in Dulut Buying a car can be a less than wonderful experience if you go to the wrong dealer. I however was more than impressed with Rick Case Hyundai, in Duluth, Ga. I had done my research on the internet and found the car I wanted, then I was concerned about the dealer. My concerns were put to rest from my very first contact with the Rick Case dealership. Akil Shaw was my first contact and he put me at ease about setting up an appointment to see the car and answered my initial questions. Then when we arrived at the dealership, this great experience was continued. Akil Shaw and Chris Smith gave us all the information we needed to make our decision. We were treated like family when we were there. Trey Shumake made the the final finance dealings as easy as the sale. We laughed and talked, and we were really treated like family. I would recommend the Rick Case dealership to everyone who wants to deal with Ethical, Responsible, and Customer oriented people. I definitely will make them my go to dealership from now on. More
"We had a deal but this girl couldnt afford anything"- Chris IF I could give this dealership negative 100 I would. Firstly, the customer service was horrendous from the moment I walked through the door. They tried to take advantage of my fiance by sending her pictures of one car then it being a completely different car when she arrived, after she drove from McDonough to see the vehicle in Atlanta traffic. The car she test drove was a piece of crap that hadn't even been through any inspections. The car was filthy and they had an appointment for her to drive the car since that morning. Why wouldn't they have it prepped to sell? We then asked about the other car the sales rep originally sent and they said they could get the payments in the same range. We test drove the car, went over numbers, checked credit and AGREED and SIGNED on numbers for the car. The Sales Manager, Jahlell T Owens, assured me that they could get us through and gave us numbers and agreed on a deal. JT was a good guy and left us feeling great. Unfortunately he had to leave. Then waited over 3 hours to speak with someone in finance. We were literally walking around waiting on someone to come and speak with us. The General Sales Manager Chris Smith really displayed what customer service doesn't look like. He sat there at a computer all day watching us, literally dozing off, and didnt check on us or offer us any water or anything. The sales rep then took us to a member of finance that was a different person we had agreed on speaking with. Big Mistake. After we sat down, the Finance member Dale Owens immediately came back with COMPLETELY different numbers than we spoke about. Dale seemed uninterested in us and ready to go home and didnt even stand up or look at me when we shook hands. Level 1 Customer service techniques that makes it seem like they want to honor our business. The numbers were over 100 dollars a month more. They really tried to take advantage of us because we were younger. They had no clue. We had already waited 4 hours to speak with someone for them to take 10 minutes to say they cant do anything unless we put way more money down. My girlfriend has great credit and they werent even trying to make the deal work unless we threw more money into it. Things literally went left when Dale called Chris when I brought up the numbers from before and said that we agreed on numbers, already with Two other people one sales manager and another Manager named RL. Chris then came back and tried to belittle my fiance and the deal. He started telling my fiance, "why dont you look at stuff you can afford for a change." He was rude, a jerk, arrogant and literally despicable and one of the most unbecoming people I have had the chance to encounter in customer service. He then proceeded to tell my girlfriend how the busted car was more for her since she didnt have money for the other one. My father who overheard the conversation then got involved and said, "wait a minute, I thought we all agreed on a deal?" Chris Smith then said, "we did have a deal but the girl cant afford it!" He proceeded to have a verbal dispute with a customer and walked away from us saying leave. We buy cars all the time and refer hundreds of people to great shops. I have never been apart of something so unbecoming. Please do not go to this car lot unless you want to deal with people who belittle your family, fiance, people who shouldn't wear a management title, display unprofessionalism, treat their employees like they were nothing, display horrendous customer service(In which they advertise they care about the customers) and bamboozle you by sending pictures of cars that are different than the one you drove an hour and 20 minutes in Atlanta Traffic to see, and sell you a dollar and a dream on numbers and try the bait and switch. If that's what you like, go there. More
Daniel - service center Daniel at the Rick Case Hyundai service center was awesome. I've had bad experiences with the Hyundai crew over at the mall of GA but Rick Case and Da Daniel at the Rick Case Hyundai service center was awesome. I've had bad experiences with the Hyundai crew over at the mall of GA but Rick Case and Daniel made my experience at their dealership much better. Daniel did everything in his power to get me back on the road and help my overall situation. Daniel You are the man! Give that man a raise Rick Case!!! More
