Since it happened without any apparent cause, we were sure that our factory warranty would cover the damage. At Ford in St. Louis, the service people were very unhelpful (they couldn't even offer any duct tape), they basically said they couldn't fix it in less than a week. So we drove back all the way to take the car to Richmond Ford West, where we had bought it. When we told CARLYLE the story about the Ford dealer in St. Louis, the first thing he said was that this would never happen at Richmond Ford West. But it was even WORSE! We left the car with them on a Saturday and NEVER heard back from them until the next Thursday, when I called them to find out that the warranty doesn't cover this damage. CARLYLE did not return my phone calls nor the ones of the Geico insurance assessor and it was hard to get him on the phone at all. When I finally had him on the phone, he kept asking silly questions like where had we bought the car and who was the owner, even though we had personally given him all that information on Saturday, when we handed the car over to CARLYLE. So after a whole week of doing nothing, CARLYLE really couldn't have cared less, they hadn't even ordered the parts and they simply said that we should get our insurance to pay for it. When we bought the car, we were actually very pleased with Richmond Ford West, because everything went very smoothly. But now that we had encountered a problem with our car that wasn't our fault at all, there was no customer-friendliness at all. We had actually thought about replacing our old Isuzu with a new Ford SUV, but now we will definitely look elsewhere. More

Transmission problem was corrected and we were able to pick up our car on the next work day. We didn't make it to the wedding, but the prompt efficient service made the car malfunction much more bearable. Thanks so much to the nice staff at Richmond Ford West. More
