Since 1985, I have bought 8 or 9 Lincolns from Dexter Dawson. We have been well satisfied with every one. He has always tried to find the best car at the right price for us. The sales staff was very friendly, answered all my question and there was really no pressure what so ever. I bought a car in less that 24 hours after a test drive. I walked into the dealership expecting to find a cliched waxed mustache snake oil salesman. What I got was a pleasant surprise. I bought a used car from this dealership in January of 2010, the sales person, Sean, was fantastic. 8 months later I was in the market for a second car so I went back to the dealership for a new car. Rich 2010, the sales person, Sean, was fantastic. 8 months later I was in the market for a second car so I went back to the dealership for a new car. Richard Wade was my sales associate, and he seemed pretty friendly at first, if a little bit crude when he spoke. I decided on a $30000 car, and made my commitment. When I went to inspect the vehicle there were some scratches to the paint, so he said he would have it fixed. I also wanted a remote start which I was told would run me $600. (They were out of the grand touring in a color I liked, so I got the touring and figured I'd just add the remote) A full week and a few days later I was told the car was ready for me to pick up. I got there and the touch-up paint looked like a 3rd grader had done it, and my $600 remote start... no, he "had it sent down the street" and a $70 remote start (I priced it) had been installed. I asked the question if the cheap aftermarket would void my warranty, Richard told me not to worry about it and to just go away. I called the Mazda national line... the corporate office confirmed that if there were any electrical problems that could be attributed to it, the warranty would be void. (I have the tech package, sunroof, etc.) So my brand new $30000 car no longer had a warranty. In the end, it went up to the service manager, Frank (Frank seemed like a nice enough guy, he is abrupt, but helpful), who had it all replaced (nothing for free, I still had to pay for it) and Richard refused to even acknowledge I existed next few times I went there to check on my car... which was ready after yet -another- week. Fortunately you can only slightly tell that the touch-up paint was done... on my brand new car. =( As for my other car, I took it in for basic service (oil changes) a few (3) times, and the wait is always HOURS long! Their problem free loaner car problem is a joke, I think they only have 2 loaner cars which are probably being used by the employees. This is a shady dealership- avoid it!!! More
Steve is a wonderful, honest fellow who was a delight to work with! He's very concerned with your well-being and wants to make sure you are truly happy with your purchase, in my opinion. The service department was helpful in spending time to locate the problem and Gary stayed on top of letting us know how long and the most cost effective way to do the repair, knowing the car is older and we might not want to put a lot of money into it. We have dealt with this dealership for several years and we stay for a reason; they are friendly and efficient. They deal with questions and phone calls with respect and concern. We will remain loyal to this dealership. More
